    Abstract: The invention relates to a mixer-heat exchanger insert or a mixer-heat exchanger insert assembly and to a mixer-heat exchanger comprising a corresponding mixer-heat exchanger insert assembly which has an improved mixing and temperature control behavior and which is less prone to fouling. The mixer-heat exchanger insert comprises a first group of hollow body plates (10, 11) with an inner volume (13) and a second group of hollow body plates (20, 21) with an inner volume (23). The hollow body plates (10, 11) of the first group are inclined in a first direction (RI) relative to a longitudinal extension direction (L) of the mixer-heat exchanger insert (1), and the hollow body plates (20, 21) of the second group are inclined in a second direction (R2) relative to the longitudinal extension direction (L) of the mixer-heat exchanger insert (1). The hollow body plates (10, 11) of the first group laterally abut the hollow body plates (20, 21) of the second group, and the inner volumes (13) of the first hollow body plates (10, 11) are connected to the inner volumes (23) of the second hollow body plates (20, 21) such that the inner volumes (13) of the first group and the inner volumes (23) of the second group are part of a continuous total inner volume (13, 23) which is designed to conduct a temperature controlling fluid.
