Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide microcapsule dispersions having a reduced proportion of microcapsules whose diameter is ≤4 μm.SOLUTION: Microcapsules comprises one or more lipophilic substances as core material and a polymer as capsule shell, which are obtainable by radical polymerization of an oil-in-water emulsion comprising from 30 to 100 mass%, based on the total weight of the monomers, of one or more 1-24C alkyl esters of acrylic and/or methacrylic acid (monomer I), from 0 to 80 mass%, based on the total weight of the monomers, of a bifunctional or polyfunctional monomer (monomers II) which is insoluble or sparingly soluble in water and from 0 to 40 mass%, based on the total weight of the monomers, of other monomers (monomers III), the lipophilic substance and inorganic solid particles having a mean particle size of from 45 to 1,000 nm. A process for producing the same, use of the same, and gypsum plasterboard containing the same are provided.
Abstract:

Abstract:
The present invention relates to copolymers which are obtainable from the free radical copolymerization of at least (a) a monoethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid having 3 to 6 carbon atoms or the anhydride thereof with (b) a reaction mixture comprising a component of the general structural formula where R1, R2, R3, R4, independently of one another, are H or C1- to C4-alkyl, n and m, independently of one another, are an integer from 1 to 100 and R5 is H or methyl, a process for the preparation of the polymer according to the invention and the use thereof as a scale inhibitor.
