    Abstract: The invention relates to low-foam surfactant mixtures containing esters of general formula (I) and their alcohols of general formula (Ia), wherein R represents a branched or unbranched alkyl group with 8 to 22 carbon atoms; Ra and R1 independently of one another represent hydrogen or a branched or unbranched alkyl group with 1 to 5 carbon atoms; R2 represents a branched or unbranched alkyl group with 5 to 17 carbon atoms; l and n independently of one another represent a number from 1 to 5 and m is a number from 38 to 70. The ratio of the molar quantities of the esters (I) to the alcohols (Ia) is at least 17:3. The invention also relates to methods for the production of said mixtures, to their use and to detergent and cleaning agent formulations containing said mixtures.
