    Abstract: ABSTRACT - 601031 The disclosure relates to a process for the production of lignocellulose-containing materials, in which lignocellulose-containing substances are mixed with a highly reactive isocyanate component comprising an organic isocyanate having at least two isocyanate groups (wherein the organic isocyanate is an isocyanate based on monomeric and polymeric methylenediphenyl diisocyanate), a catalyst based on an organic metal compound and a compound which comprises an aromatic sulfonyl isocyanate group (preferably para-toluenesulfonyl isocyanate) and then compressed in a mold at mold temperatures of from 40 to 250 DEGREE C. The disclosure also relates to the use of said lignocellulose-containing material for the production of articles of furniture and furniture parts, packaging materials, in house building or in vehicles.
