Abstract: Se describe el uso de ácidos aromáticos libres que contienen por lo menos dos sistemas de anillo aromático o por lo menos dos funciones ácidas, y/o sales de los mismos, para influenciar las formaciones rocosas en la explotación de depósitos subterráneos de petróleo mineral y/o de gas natural. Los ácidos libres se utilizan en particular para influenciar y especialmente controlar el flujo de ácido dentro de las formaciones rocosas en los así llamados métodos de acidificación. Las sales adecuadas de dichos ácidos aromáticos sirven para reducir la permeabilidad de la roca y en particular reducir el flujo de entrada de agua dentro del agujero del pozo. Además de este uso, también se reivindican los métodos correspondientes.
