    Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing polyoxymethylene copolymers (POM) in the following manner: a) a reaction mixture containing suitable principal monomers and comonomers in addition to a polymerisation initiator and optionally a chain transfer agent is polymerised; b) a deactivator is added; and c) the residual monomers are removed. The invention is characterised in that at each stage of the method, the maximum quantity of compounds in the reaction mixture, said compounds having a melting point at 1013 hPa of below 60 °C, is 0.1 wt. %, not including the POM, monomers, comonomers, polymerisation initiators, deactivators and chain transfer agent.
