The object of the present invention is an agrochemical composition containing pesticide, preserving agent and unbranched 1,2-alkanodiol having 5 to 10 carbon atoms. The invention further relates to a method for preparing this composition by mixing pesticide, preserving agent and unbranched 1,2-alkaodiol having 5 to 10 carbon atoms. In addition, the invention relates to using the composition for combating phytopathogenic fungi and/or undesired plant growth and/or undesired insect or mite infestation and/or for regulating the growth of plants as well as to using the composition for combating undesired insect or mite infestation on plants and/or for combating phytopathogenic fungi and/or for combating undesired plant growth, wherein seeds of useful plants are treated with the composition and finally to seeds treated with the composition.
