Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the tertiary recovery of petroleum from underground deposits having a deposit temperature of = 70°C, wherein a copolymer comprising (meth)acrylamide or derivatives thereof, monoethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acids, in particular acrylic acid, and an associative monomer is used, wherein the amount of the associative monomer is 0.1 to 0.9 wt%. A water-soluble copolymer comprising (meth)acrylamide or derivatives thereof, monoethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acids, in particular acrylic acid, and 0.1 to 0.9 wt% of an associative monomer.

Abstract: A method of tertiary production of mineral oil from underground deposits having a deposit temperature of ≤70° C., in which a copolymer comprising (meth)acrylamide or derivatives thereof, monoethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acids, especially acrylic acid, and an associative monomer is used, wherein the amount of the associative monomer is 0.1% to 0.9% by weight. A water-soluble copolymer comprising (meth)acrylamide or derivatives thereof, monoethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acids, especially acrylic acid, and 0.1% to 0.9% by weight of an associative monomer.
