Abstract: Summary A thermoplastic molding composition with improved metal plating properties is provided. This thermoplastic molding composition is produced from a graft copolymer (A) a thermoplastic polymer (B) and a thermoplastic polymer (C) that is not, or only to a limited amount miscible with the thermoplastic polymer (B). The thermoplastic polymer (C) contains from 1 to 10 % by weight of at least one monoethylenically unsaturated monomer, like acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, or dicarboxylic acids, such as maleic acid and fumaric acid and their anhydrides, such as maleic anhydride. The vinyl aromatic content of component (C) is at least 5 units lower compared to that of component (B). The graft copolymer is produced from a soft elastomeric particulate graft base with a glass transition temperature below 0°C obtained by emulsion polymerization of a conjugated diene alone or with a small amount of a monoethylenically unsaturated monomer or of at least one C 1-8 -alkyl acrylate, or of mixtures of these, upon which is grafted a vinyl aromatic monomer and acrylonitrile and optionally another monoethylenically unsaturated monomer.

Abstract: Procedimiento para la preparación de un polímero reforzado con nanotubos de carbono (NTC), que comprende las etapas de A. poner en contacto los NTC en un medio acuoso con una sal soluble en agua de un polímero anfífilo, B. mezclar la dispersión obtenida en la etapa (A) con un látex acuoso de polímero de matriz o uno o más precursores solubles en agua de un látex acuoso de polímero de matriz, C. retirar el agua de la mezcla obtenida en la etapa (B), D. calentar el producto obtenido en la etapa (C) hasta una temperatura a la que el polímero de matriz fluye o a la que el polímero de matriz se forma a partir de sus precursores, y, opcionalmente, E. procesar y/o solidificar el producto de la etapa (D) en una forma deseada.
