Abstract: A solar thermochemical processing system is disclosed. The system includes a first unit operation for receiving concentrated solar energy. Heat from the solar energy is used to drive the first unit operation. The first unit operation also receives a first set of reactants and produces a first set of products. A second unit operation receives the first set of products from the first unit operation and produces a second set of products. A third unit operation receives heat from the second unit operation to produce a portion of the first set of reactants.

Abstract: Se describen en la presente aspectos de un método para poner en contacto una composición de metano con un sistema de catalizador para producir H2 y un co-producto de carbono. En algunos aspectos, el sistema de catalizador comprende (i) un catalizador de aleación de Ni-Cu que comprende Ni y Cu y (ii) un soporte. En algunos aspectos adicionales, el Ni y Cu están presentes en una relación en masa de Ni:Cu que varía de mayor que cero a 4.5. También se describen en la presente aspectos de un método para hacer el sistema de catalizador descrito.

Abstract: Hierin werden Aspekte eines Verfahrens zum Inkontaktbringen einer Methanzusammensetzung mit einem Katalysatorsystem zur Herstellung von H2und eines Kohlenstoff-Nebenprodukts offenbart. In einigen Aspekten umfasst das Katalysatorsystem (i) einen Ni-Cu-Legierungskatalysator, der Ni und Cu umfasst, und (ii) einen Träger. In einigen zusätzlichen Aspekten sind das Ni und Cu in einem Ni:Cu-Massenverhältnis im Bereich von größer als null bis 4,5 vorhanden.
