Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of polyurethane molded parts, blocks or cylinders from the so-called consumer-used parts and/or a production residue, which are based on polyurethane, by the flake composite method. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method is characterized by (1) mixing (a) a production residue from a polyurethane rigid foam production process and/or consumer-used parts based on polyurethane foam and (b) a liquid binder having reactive NCO radicals based on a mixture and/or a reaction product of aromatic and/or aliphatic polyisocyanates and polyols, and dispersing them uniformly, (2) adding the mixture from (1) into a mold, and (3) introducing steam, if necessary under pressure, into the mold to manufacture polyurethane molded parts, blocks or cylinders. Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the material having a low density, short mold release time and high hardness by reacting a specific polyisocyanate component, a polyether polyol component, water, a polyol component, optionally an additive, and a foaming agent. SOLUTION: A semirigid polyurethane foamed material is obtained by blending: (A) a polyisocyanate component having an NCO group content of 30-47 wt.%, a biuret structure, and contg. a toluene diisocyanate with an NCO group content of 33-47 wt.%; (B) a polyether polyol component having an average mol.wt. of 1,000-12,000 and at least two functionality values, and if necessary a solid content of 50 pts.wt. or less based on the whole component B wt.; if necessary (C) a polyol component having an average mol.wt. of 62-1,000 and at least two functionality values; optionally (D) an additive; (E) a foaming agent; and (F) water of 0.5-8 wt.% relative to the total wt. of components B through E, until the isocyanate index coming to 30-180, and then by reacting them.

Abstract: A liquid binder is added and uniformly distributed in production residues from polyurethane rigid foam production and/or post-consumer components based the foam. The obtained mixture is added to a tool, hardened by introducing steam, and removed. The polyurethane rigid foam has an open-cell foam density of 5-50 kg/m3, a compressive strength of 0.05-0.2 MPa, and an open-cell content of more than 50%. A liquid binder containing reactive isocyanate groups and based on a mixture and/or reaction product of aromatic and/or aliphatic polyisocyanates, and polyols, is added and uniformly distributed in production residues from polyurethane rigid foam production and/or post-consumer components based on polyurethane rigid foam. The obtained mixture is added to a tool. Steam, optionally under pressure, is introduced into the tool for the production of molded component, block or cylinder. The product is then hardened and removed from the tool. The polyurethane rigid foam has an open-cell foam density of 5-50 kg/m3 as measured by DIN 53 420, a compressive strength of 0.05-0.2 MPa as measured by DIN 53 421, and an open-cell content of more than 50% as measured by DIN ISO 4590-86.

Estos compuestos sonutiles en la construccion de vehículos de motor, construccion de mobiliario, construccion de máquinas y la construccion de aparatos. Abstract: A PROCESS FOR THE THERMOPLASTIC PROCESSING OF POLYURETHANES The present invention relates to a process for the thermoplastic processing of polyurethanes via the melt phase wherein said polyurethanes have a melt viscosity which is substantially independent of the molar ratio of isocyanate groups to active hydrogen containing groups. These polyurethanes comprise the reaction product of A) one or more polydiols having an average molecular weight of from 550 to 10,000, B) one or more chain extending agents having a molecular weight below 500, an average functionality of about 2, and containing amino and/or hydroxyl groups as functional groups, and C) one or more diisocyanates wherein said components are present in quantities such that the molar ratio of the isocyanate groups to the Zerewitinoff-active hydrogen containing groups is at least 1.10:1, and the polyurethanes are subjected to a temperature treatment prior to thermoplastic processing.
