PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stable adherent composite material formed of polyurethane and other thermoplastic material, a manufacturing method thereof and usage thereof in an automobile. SOLUTION: In a composite material consisting of at least two layers directly bonded to each other, A) at least one polyurethane-containing layer formed by reacting at least one kind of polyisocyanate (a) with at least one kind of isocyanate-reactive component (b), and B) at least one layer, which is directly bonded to the polyurethane layer A) and contains thermoplastic plastic material different from the polyurethane layer A), the layer A) contains the residual content of the reaction component having an ether group, which is produced from the production of polyurethane, of 400 ppm or less, and preferably 100 ppm or less.

SOLUTION: In a composite material having at least two layers of different materials directly bonded to each other, one layer (A) of the composite material contains polyurethane and the layer (B) directly bonded to the layer A thereof contains a thermoplastic material different from the material contained in the layer (A) and the layer (A) contains uniformly distributed particles with a particle size of 50 nm or less at least coated with a thermoplastic material different from the material constituting the layer (A) and the total surface area of the particles corresponds to at least the total interface between the layers (A), (B).

The present invention relates to polymer blends containing a component selected from the group poly(ester)carbonate, graft polymers or mixtures thereof. Said blends also contain polyalkylene naphthalate as the second component and optionally an additional component selected from the group of vinyl (co)polymers, polyalkylene terephthalate or mixtures thereof, whereby mixtures of polycarbonate, polyalkylene naphthalate and optionally polyalkylene terephthalate do not contain a tetra fluor ethylene polymer.

A thermoplastic molding composition characterized in its color homogeneity is disclosed. The composition that is suitable for preparing automotive parts contains A) 4 to 80% of at least one polyalkylene terephthalate, B) 10 to 90% of at least one aromatic polycarbonate, C) 1.5 to 30% of at least one AES graft polymer, D) 0 to 54% of at least one mineral filler in particulate form, E) 0.01 to 10% of a coloring material and F) 0 to 10% of at least one functional additive, the percents, all occurrences being relative to the weight of the composition.

A thermoplastic molding composition comprising a graft polymer is disclosed. The graft polymer contains: a) a continuous phase containing the polymerized product of at least one vinylaromatic monomer and at least one ethylenically unsaturated nitrile monomer, and b) a disperse phase containing ethylene/alpha-olefin rubber that is grafted with the polymerization product of at least one vinylaromatic monomer and at least one ethylenically unsaturated nitrile monomer. The weight average molecular weight of the continuous phase is 130,000 to 275,000 g/mole and the disperse phase is characterized in that its, weight average particle size is less than 0.90 mum. The molding composition is characterized in improved resistance to weathering.

A composition containing a graft polymer based on acrylonitrile/ethylene propylene rubber/styrene (AES) and an additive is disclosed. The additive is one which increases the "Deltasoft phase" of the composition making it possible to produce moldings with improved toughness at low temperatures, without substantially changing the melt volume rate.
