Abstract: PURPOSE: To guide and force an extremely small amount of substance on a membrane sheet into collection wells without diluting it by providing the membrane sheet under each sample well formed on an upper plate and providing a drop guide plate between a collection plate with individual wells placed underneath the membrane sheet and the membrane sheet. CONSTITUTION: Sample wells are formed on an upper plate 11 in a plate assembly for performing multiple filtrations with the use of vacuum. A collection plate 19 with individual wells is placed underneath a membrane sheet 13 forming a floor of each sample well. A small quantity of liquid is guided to the collection wells from the bottom of the membrane 13 through a drop guide plate 15 between the collection plate 19 and the membrane sheet 13. As a result, very small quantities of materials on the membrane sheet 13 can be drawn into the collection wells without dilution, and avoiding cross contamination between the collection wells.
