Abstract: The invention concerns a navigation aid device for motor vehicle comprising a terminal (1) on board a vehicle and manual control means arranged inside the vehicle and connected to said terminal, and a remote processing centre (8) capable of communicating with the onboard terminal via a radiotelephone network (6), said centre being adapted to manage exchanges with said onboard terminal according to a specific protocol and comprising therefor in particular means (7) for identifying requests verbally expressed by the user (5) and/or requests corresponding to an actuation of the manual means by the user, as well as means for transmitting data to an onboard mobile terminal. The invention is characterised in that the manual control means comprise a control element (2) which allows the user only one type of actuation, the exchange protocol managed by the processing centre (8) enabling the user to interface with the processing centre only by actuating the control element (2) and/or by expressing verbal requests.
