Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the sound quality and to reduce the cost by coating directly a thermoplastic resin to one of the entire surface joining to a sheet-like cone paper made of a continuous air bubble soft polyurethane foam so as to form a resin layer. CONSTITUTION:An SBR latex, an NBR latex or an urethane emulsion is directly coated to one of the entire surfaces of a sheet material 1 of a continuous air bubble soft polyurethane foam joining to a cone paper sheet 3 to form a resin layer 2. Then the cone paper 3 is overlapped on part of the surface on which the layer 2 is formed and the layer 2 is softened by heating and compressing to adhere the cone paper 3 with the edge member 4. Thus, the adhesion process and the shaping of the form are executed simultaneously and the raw material for the speaker edge with superior sound quality is obtained at a low cost.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a polyurethane foam sealant which is of open-cell type and has excellent waterproofness, by adding a hydrophobic hydrocarbon resin to a specified polyhydroxyl compound and a polyisocyanate compound. CONSTITUTION:A polyurethane foam which contains as its principal constituents a polyhydroxyl compound mentioned below and a polyisocyanate compound and is obtained by adding a hydrophobic hydrocarbon resin thereto. As the polyhydroxyl compound, a mixture of a high-molecular weight polyether polyol having a hydroxyl number of 100 or less with a low-molecular weight polyhydroxyl compound having a hydroxyl number of 560 or more and 2-4 hydroxyl groups in a molecule is used. Examples of hydrophobic resins to be used include: petroleum oils, such as paraffin, wax, asphalt, and a petroleum resin obtained by polymerizing the 4-9C fraction, the by-product from naphtha cracking; animal oils; and vegetable oils.
