    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain an extremely high attenuation damper exhibiting a good damping effect by using the high attenuation characteristic (high hysteresis loss) of a slightly bridged rubber which is extremely low in a bridging characteristic. CONSTITUTION:A slightly bridged rubber constituting a damper 8 is provided with material characteristic in which hystresis ration (h50) at the time of deformation under tension by 50% at 25 deg.C is above 0.25 by mixing a bridging agent of 1 to 70% by weight of the minimum amount of the mixture of the bridging agent to be mixed to a rubber material. Such a damper 8 may be formed in such a manner that non-bridged rubber is dispersed in the slightly bridged rubber or the non-bridged rubber c is filled in the slightly bridged rubber a as respectively independent structures. Accordingly, an excellent damper provided with high hystresis under the non-bridged state of the rubber and excellent mechanical property under a bridged state is provided.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition which maintains a good breaking strength and elongation and has improved heat and electric conductivities, and to provide a tire excellent in heat conductivity, heat radiability, and durability.
    SOLUTION: The rubber composition comprises a rubber component, gas phase grown carbon fibers, and a reinforcing material for rubber, wherein the gas phase grown carbon fibers are fibers having been subjected to a crushing treatment and have a fiber diameter of 20 to 100 nm before the crushing treatment and a bulky specific gravity of ≥0.025 g/cm
    3 after the crushing treatment. The tire uses the rubber composition. The gas phase grown carbon fibers are preferably compounded in an amount of 0.5 to 30 pts.mass based on 100 pts.mass of the rubber component, and natural rubber is preferably used as the rubber component.

    SOLUTION: The invention provides a sheet-formed rubber composition 20 containing a rubber component and a vapor-grown carbon fiber and obtained by laminating two or more rubber sheets 1 having a thickness of 0.1-0.5 mm. The rubber sheets 1 are laminated one upon another preferably by directing the sheeting direction nearly perpendicular to that of the adjacent sheet, and the sheet to be laminated is preferably cut at an angle of 40-50° relative to the sheeting direction. The amount of the vapor-grown carbon fiber is preferably 5-20 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of the rubber component.
