    Abstract: PURPOSE:To promote the improvement or the like of cord breaking resistance of a metal cord in a tire reduced in its weight and rolling resistance by coating the belt reinforcing metal cord with specific rubber wherein a 100% modulus value after vulcanization is higher than that of the embedded rubber. CONSTITUTION:A tire 1 provides a carcass layer 4 stopped in its both end parts by a pair of bead cores 2, 3 being deformed into a toroidal shape and a belt layer 5 or the like arranged outside the carcass layer 4 in its radial direction. The tire 1 forms the belt layer 5 from a number of mutually overlapped sheets of belt plies 10 while each belt ply 10 from coating rubber 11 and many reinforcing steel cords 13 embedded in the coating rubber 11 extending parallelly with a tire equatorial surface. Here the belt ply 10 is formed coating the cord 13, consisting of a steel filament 15, with rubber 14 of specific high elastic modulus.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the rolling resistance and durability by specifying the between-center distance of filaments, arrangement of metal cords, and the ratio between the tread width and grounded width of a tread. CONSTITUTION:Inner and outer belt ply layers 2 and 3 are arranged outside a carcass ply 1, and the vertical component of the distance between the contiguous filaments 4 and 5 out of a pair of metal cords opposed inside and outside the belt ply layers 2 and 3 is set to L. In this case, each between-center distance of the longest and shortest filaments is set to the following relation: Lmax>=1.05d, Lmin>=d, and Lmax/Lmin>=1.05. Further, the metal cords having a specific twist pitch and elongation are arranged so that the vertical component of the shortest distance between filaments is set within a specific range. Further, the ratio of the belt width B to the grounded width H of the tread is set to 1.2 or less.

SOLUTION: The composite material is obtained by adding organic synthetic or other fibers having a length of 0.1-100mm and a diameter of 1-150μm to a matrix selected among crosslinked rubbers, thermoplastic elastomers, foams of these, and the like in an amount of 0.1-80vol.% based on the matrix.     Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the local deformation and buckling fatigue or metal cords and improve steering stability or the like by forming the metal cord of a belt layer in a 1Xn structure with at least three metal filaments twisted and specifying its ductility. CONSTITUTION:A tire main section is constituted of a tread 2 extended in the tire peripheral direction and two belt layers 3 arranged on the radial inside of the tread 2. The belt layers 3 are formed with steel cords 8 buried in belt buried rubber. In this case, the steel cord 8 is formed in a 1Xn structure bundle with at least three steel filaments 12 twisted, and the ductility P1 and P2 when loads of 5kg and 2kg are applied to one cord are set within the range shown by Equation I respectively. The elastic modulus of the buried rubber 7 when extended 50% after vulcanization is set to 10-30kg/cm.
