Abstract: PURPOSE:To make it possible to form heat-resistant structural material by one shot by a method wherein specified reactive hot-melt adhesive is employed as the adhesive used between respective layers in lightweight interior trim structural material, which is prepared by laminating respectively a plurality of glass mat layers and of skin material layers on both sides of core material layer in the order named. CONSTITUTION:In order to manufacture the lightweight interior trim structural material concerned, firstly, core material layer 1 made of thermoplastic polyurethane foamed sheet, which is obtained by reacting polyol component and isocyanate component with the each other in the presence of water and/or organic foaming agent, is brought into contact with water and/or water vapor. Next, a plurality of glass mat layers 2 and 2 and of skin material layers 3 and 4 are laminated to both the sides of core material layer 1 in the order named, the resultant laminate is formed under heat and pressure. In this case, as the adhesive employed between the respective layers 1-4, reactive hot melt adhesive containing polyurethane polymer having unreacted NCO group at its terminal is employed. Finally, all the laminate is integrally formed by being pressurized simultaneously.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a vacuum packing method for reducing the volume of a container containing pulverized articles and making its transportation easy by providing at a sucking part in the container the material permeable to gas but impermeable to low-density powdery or pulverized articles to draw gas out of the container. CONSTITUTION:The low-density pulverized chips 2 to be packed are weighed and the chips of 5kg are placed in an envelope-like polyethylene bag 1. After placement, the bag is shaked up and down to make the upper surface of the chips flat in an ordinary bagging manner. A plate-like slab 3 made of an air- permeable soft urethane is placed at the central part of the flat upper surface of the chips and gas is drawn out of the bag by a vacuum cleaner. At this time, the suction opening of a vacuum cleaner is held into contact with the soft urethane slab in its center, the place in contact with the slab is held with the hand in such a manner as to cover the suction opening of the vacuum cleaner with the polyethylene bag and then a switch of the vacuum cleaner is turned on. This sucking operation is continued for about 25 seconds until the polyethylene bag stops its shrinking and the opening of the bag is then tied with a string. In this way the volume of the bag can be reduced to at most half.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent wrinkles from developing on a laminate without utilizing extra power source by pulling the edge part of a skin material with an engaging member by a method wherein an interlocking member, the movement of which is converted by a conversion mechanism into the lateral movement for pulling the skin material, interlocks with the pressing movement of an upper or a lower press platen. CONSTITUTION:By lowering an upper press platen 1, a rod 12 is pushed down and a movable link 39 is also pushed down, resulting in tilting a first and a second arm links 27 and 29 apart from molds 3 and 7 against the tension of a tension spring 41. Consequently, the movable link 39 is moved laterally so as to pull a skin material 53, which is stretched by being engaged with a nail part 16. Thus, the skin material 53 is fully stretched not only only by the pressing with an upper mold 3 and a lower mold 7, due to the uneven shapes of those molds, but also by the movement of the movable link 39 through the nail part 16, resulting in allowing to suppress the development of wrinkles on the skin material 53.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To eliminate the generation of the cutting chips and combustion gas at the time of cutting, and to enhance the yield of a foaming body by fixing a cutting-guide member to the cutting-start surface of a hard foaming body, and then by carrying out the cutting of the foaming body from the side of this cutting-guide member by means of a cutter before the hardening of the foaming body. CONSTITUTION: A knife edge 11 advancedly cuts cutting-guide members 9 fixed to a cutting-start surface 12, and is brought into contact with the cutting-start surface 12 of a hard foaming body 1 to which slight hardening is started, to damage the surface 12, the cutting-start surface 12 can be cut away by the force acting on the cutting-guide member 9 being lifted by the taper angle αof the knife edge 11. Once the knife edge 11 is inserted, since the inside of the foaming body 1 is still soft, the cutting of the foaming body 1 is smoothly continued, and cutting chips and combustion gas are not produced.
