Abstract: PURPOSE:To make the drawing-about of a high-tension cable almost or completely unnecessary. CONSTITUTION:An attaching member 1 on one side and an attaching member 2 on the other side are mutually connected through elastic bodies 9, 10, and electric viscous fluid 12 is enclosed in a space 11 surrounded by the attaching members 1,2 and the elastic bodies 9, 10. A throttle passage 13 for the electric viscous fluid 12 is provided, and a high-tension generating source 15 connected to at least a pair of electrodes provided in the throttle passage 13 is attached to at least one of the attaching members 1, 2 or set at a position adjacent to the above attaching member.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To simplify and miniaturize the structure of a vibration damping equipment by enclosing a gas or a fluid, which can be liquidized, in a sealed room and setting installing members on both a contracted-passage-constituting- member-side and a face-plate-side of the equipment, thereby effectively absorbing high frequency microvibration. CONSTITUTION:One sealed room 6 is formed in such a manner that folding parts 1a, 2a of both flexible film bodies 1, 2 face to each other. Inside this sealed room 6, both face plates 4, 5 of the room 6 are connected to each other by means of a cylindrical rigid member 7. In the sealed room 6, air or other gas or water, an antifreezing solution, an electroviscous fluid, a magnetic fluid and a fluid 8, which can be liquidized are enclosed. In addition, installing members 11, 12 are set on the face plate 4 and on a contracted-passage- constituting-member 3. Owing to a sliding guide 13, sliding motion of a rigid member 7 is smoothed, and moreover it is unnecessary to consider the sealing property to the enclosed fluid 8. Therefore, frictional force of the rigid member 7 to the sliding guide 13 can sufficiently be made small.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To raise a step-up ratio by using a component having a low withstand voltage. CONSTITUTION:One primary winding 12 and, secondary windings 141, 142, 143,..., 14n which are not connected to each other, are provided in a transformer 10. Rectifiers 201, 202, 203,..., 20n are respectively connected to the secondary windings, and connected in series with each other. Since a voltage obtained by integrating voltages output from the respective rectifiers is generated at both ends of a circuit in which the n pieces of the rectifiers are connected in series with each other, a turn ratio of the transformer can be reduced. Thus, the rectifiers can be formed of components each having a low withstand voltage.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce vibration by reducing the voltage applied to an electrode to reduce the viscosity of electric viscous liquid irrespective of other situations when the absolute value of vibrational acceleration of the lower side member exceeds a predetermined value, i.e., when relatively large sudden vibration is inputted to the lower side member. CONSTITUTION:While voltage applied to an electrode is adjusted to control a periodic damping force, the voltage applied to the electrode is increased to increase the viscosity of electric viscouse fluid 18 respectively when the upper side member 24 of a vibration damping equipment 1 is ascending and upper lower members 22, 24 are displaced to keep away from each other and when the upper side member 22 is descending and the upper and lower side members 22, 24 are displaced to approach each other. On the other hand, when the absolute value of vibrational acceleration of the lower side member 22 exceeds a predetermined value, the voltage applied to the electrode is always reduced to reduce the viscosity of electric viscous fluid 18.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a low-cost car height sensor which is not affected by spots on a reflecting plate. CONSTITUTION:A first and a second light-emitting elements 10, 12 are disposed at difference distances to a reflecting plate 36. The first and second light- emitting elements 10, 12 are made to alternately emit light and the outputs of a light-receiving element 16 are subjected to logarithmic conversion and have their DC components eliminated by a bypass filter 48. The remaining Ac components correspond to the logarithm of the ratio of the output of the light-receiving element 16 when the first light-emitting element 10 emits lights to the output of the light-receiving element 16 when the second light-emitting elements 12 emits light. The outputs of the bypass filter 48 are subjected to full-wave rectification whereby car height signals are obtained which are not affected by spots on the reflecting plate.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To continuously change a spring constant of an air spring by providing in an air chamber an expanding body which expands and contracts through supply and discharge of fluid carried out separately from supply and discharge of air into the air chamber. CONSTITUTION:A diaphragm 3 is attached between an outer shell 1 and a cylinder 2, an air chamber 4 is provided inside, and a supply and discharge port 5 and a pressure sensor 6 are provided in the outer shell 1. An outer shell rod 7 is formed in the outer shell 1, an expanding body 10 is provided on it, and a fluid passage 11 is formed in the outer shell rod 7 so that supply and discharge of the fluid into the expanding body 10 can be carried out through a supply and discharge port 12. By changing inner pressure of the expanding body 10 provided in the air chamber 4, volume in the air chamber 4 can be continuously changed, and as a result, a spring constant can be continuously variable.
