Abstract: In a positive electrode of a non-aqueous electrolyte battery, at least one alkaline earth metal oxide selected from the group consisting of magnesium oxide, calcium oxide and barium oxide is dispersed between particles of an active substance for positive electrode, whereby a discharge capacity or recharge-discharge capacity of the non-aqueous electrolyte battery just after the preparation and after the storing at high temperature is improved.

Abstract: The present invention provides an additive which is able to make a non-aqueous-electrolyte secondary cell or a non-aqueous electrolyte electric double layer capacitor which is excellent in low-temperature characteristics, while maintaining a necessary cell properties, and a non-aqueous-electrolyte secondary cell or a non-aqueous electrolyte electric double layer capacitor that contains therein the additive. The additive contains at least one of tautomers of phosphazene derivatives represented by formulae (1) and (2): wherein R , R and R independently represent a monovalent substituent or a halogen element; X represents a substituent containing at least one selected from a group of carbon, silicon, germanium, tin, nitrogen, phosphorus, arsenic, antimony, bismuth, oxygen, sulfur, selenium, tellurium and polonium; and Y and Y independently represent a divalent connecting group, a divalent element or a single bond.

Abstract: An additive with which a nonaqueous-electrolyte secondary battery or nonaqueous-electrolyte electric-double-layer capacitor having excellent low-temperature properties while retaining necessary battery properties, etc. can be produced; and a nonaqueous-electrolyte secondary battery and a nonaqueous-electrolyte electric-double-layer capacitor both containing the additive. The additive is characterized by containing at least tautomers of a phosphazene derivative which are represrnted by general formulae (1) and (2), wherein R1, R2, and R3 each represents a monovalent substituent or a halogen element; X represents a substituent containing at least one of carbon, silicon, germanium, tin, nitrogen, phosphorus, arsenic, antimony, bismuth, oxygen, sulfur, selenium, tellurium, and polonium; and Y1 and Y2 each represents a divalent connecting group, divalent element, or single bond.

Abstract: The present invention provides an additive for a non-aqueous electrolytic solution including a phosphazene derivative which is solid at 25°C and represented by the following formula (1): (PNR2)n .........formula (1) wherein R represents a monovalent substituent or a halogen atom; and n represents a number of 3 to 6. Abstract: An additive for a non-aqueous liquid electrolyte, characterized in that it comprises a phosphazene derivative represented by the following general formula (1): (PNR2)n wherein R represents a fluorine atom or a fluorine- containing substituent, provided that at least one of all R's is a fluorine- containing substituent, n represents 3 to 14; and a non-aqueous liquid electrolyte secondary cell and a non-aqueous liquid electrolyte electric double layer capacitor comprising the additive for a non-aqueous liquid electrolyte which are excellent in low temperature characteristics and exhib it good resistance to deterioration and good flame retardancy, and accordingly are significantly high in safety. The substituent is preferably an alkoxy group.
