Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain solar battery sealing material, the main component of which is ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer with high volume resistivity. SOLUTION: In this solar battery sealing material, 1,1-bis(t-butylperoxy)-3,3,5- trimethylcyclohexane as organic peroxide, wherein half-life at 140 deg.C is at most 30 minutes, and triallylisocyanurate(TAIC) as crosslinking auxiliary agent are added in ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, wherein the content of vinyl acetate is 26-30 wt.%, and heating and crosslinking are performed. The volume resistivity, after crosslinked, is at least 3.0×1015 Ωcm. Insulating property of a solar battery module is improved in the case that the sealing material is used as a thin layer, so that leakage current from a solar battery is restrained effectively.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a solar battery module to be fire-retardant and nonflammable and to use it directly as a roof material by providing a net-shaped body which is impregnated with an adhesive resin between solar battery and a transparent plate and/or between the solar battery and a back cover for covering it. SOLUTION: A net-shaped body which is impregnated with adhesive resin in advance may be laminated on a transparent plate 12 and a back cover 13 but normally a vacuum lamination treatment is performed on its production. A net-shaped body 14a and an adhesive resin film 14b are included between a cell 11 and the transparent plate 12 and between the battery 11 and the back cover, respectively. Then, vacuum lamination is performed and is heated and then the adhesive resin 14b is melted, thus impregnating the net-shaped body 14a with the adhesive resin and easily obtaining a fire-retardant and nonflammable solar battery module. In this case, by using an EVA sealing material film where an organic peroxide is added as the resin film 14b, EVA can be simultaneously cross-liked in impregnation and heating.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To produce the laminated glass having excellent impact resistance and penetration resistance, superior color tone and high transparency at a low cost by using as the material for the interlayer of the laminated glass a thermo setting resin composition obtained by blending an ethylene-vinyl acetate copoly mer with an organic peroxide and a coloring agent. CONSTITUTION:This laminated glass is formed by interposing the thermosetting resin composition, which is obtained by blending an ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer with an organic peroxide and a coloring agent, between two glass plates as the interlayer, integrating them and thermosetting the interlayer. As the ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, that having a 15 to 40wt.% vinyl acetate content is preferably used. Any organic peroxide that decomposes at >=100 deg.C to generate free radicals can be used preferably in a blending amount of 0.1 to 5 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of the ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer. Any organic or inorganic coloring agent can be used for this purpose preferably in a blending amount of 0.1 to 50 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of the ethylene- vinyl acetate copolymer.
