Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve a mechanical stability by providing a light absorbing layer containing a thermoplastic binder made of a polycyclic hydrocarbon of a specific composition and one or more types of dye, and forming an optical recording medium, thereby suppressing a crystal of the layer. CONSTITUTION: A light absorbing layer containing a thermoplastic binder made of a polycyclic hydrocarbon soluble in a content of 3 wt.% or more in the case of an aliphatic hydrocarbon and an aromatic hydrocarbon and having a glass transition temperature of 150 deg.C or higher and one or more types of dye is provided on a support to form the optical recording medium. The polycyclic hydrocarbon of a unit represented in a content of 80% or more by a formula I (wherein n is an integer of 10 to 1,000, R , R to R , R10 are each independent from each other a hydrogen atom and/or 1-3C alkyl group) is preferable.
Abstract:
An irreversible optical medium for storing information by local modification of the optical properties of a recording layer under the action of a light beam with an irradiance of from 0.05 to 10 nJ mu m2, essentially consisting of a substrate and, applied on this, a particulate recording layer from 0.01 to 10 mu m thick, wherein the recording layer consists of a three-dimensional arrangement of particles having a mean particle diameter of from 4 to 40 nm, and a process for its production.

PURPOSE: To provide a belt piece surface treatment device by which it is surely compensated to effectively reduce surface irregularity of a belt piece of a material to be treated and further, the treatment is performed coping with individual conditions of each belt piece to be treated. CONSTITUTION: A surface treatment device for a belt piece material to be treated is provided with a blade 4 arranged orthogonal to a transfer path of a belt piece material to be treated 2 and a partitioned room 8 which is placed in parallel and closely to the blade, being open to the above-mentioned transfer path, and being connected with a pressure reducing device, and the opening 9 is positioned under an acting edge 10 of the blade.
