Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve workability of rim assembly, by constituting a metallic annular supporter with at least four divided segments and forming at least one junction face to a parallel or externally narrowed shape. CONSTITUTION:An annular supporter mounted in the toroidal cavity in a tire and supporting a load at a bank is constituted by each segment (a)-(e). Junction faces alpha, beta between at least one segment (a) and the neighboring segment are formed to a parallel or externally narrowed state in the radial direction. In this way, assembly work in the narrow tire toroidal cavity is easily performed to improve rim assembly workability.
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enrich a run flat function at a high load, by providing an annular rubber pad between tire beads in the flat base part of a rim and mounting a metallic annular supporter to the inside of a toroidal cavity. CONSTITUTION:In a tire wheel, to which a metallic annular supporter 2 building I-shaped sectional segments is mounted through an annular rubber pad 3, the pad 3 has an internal diameter being 97.4-99.8% of an external diameter of a flat base part R1, a width corresponding to 100-112% of the internal width of a bead part in a tire 11 after rim assembly, and a thickness of a seat part being 6-18% height measured from an external face of the pad 3 of the supporter 2, further provided with physical properties of JIS hardness 60-90 deg. and 50- 200kgf/cm dynamic elastic modulus under a condition at 20 deg.C, 20% and 0.15- 0.850 loss tangent. An internal peripheral flange 2' of said segment is housed to the center periphery in the width direction of said pad 3 to provide a peripheral groove 3' having tightly holding depth and width. In this way, a run flat function can be enriched under a high load.

PURPOSE:To improve run-flat performance at the time of puncture by housing in a toroidal hollow of the captioned tyre an annular supporter assembled with segments with I-shaped section and fitting said supporter to a rim through an annular rubber pad. CONSTITUTION:A type wheel for heavy load is formed by a tubeless tyre 1 assembled to a rim R and an annular supporter 2 housed in a toroidal hollow of the tyre 1 and further fixed to the rim R through an annular rubber pad 3. At this time, the rubber pad 3 is formed to have the inside diameter (d) which is 97.4-99.8% of the outside diameter D of a flat base part R1 of the rim R, and the width (w) which is 100-112% of the distance W between inner faces of a tyre bead part after assembling to the rim R, and also the seat part thickness t1 which is 6-18% of the height H of the annular supporter 2. Further, the annular supporter 2 is formed through fixing letter I-shaped segments, divided into several parts on the circumference, by means of a pair of arc-shaped side plates 4 using bolts 5.

CONSTITUTION:A carcass 5 is rolled around a bead ring 3 from the inside to the outside, and a breaker 6 is arranged to a crown part of the carcass 5. A tire T is assembled to a rim R of same kind for a tubeless tire equipped with a pair of flanges F and a pair of bead seats S tapered about 15 deg., after a tire bead part 4 is set to the seat S of the regular rim, elastic crude fluid of urethane rubber is filled and a hardened elastic material 7 is charged in an internal cavity to form an assembly unit of the tire rim charged with the elastic material.
