Abstract: The invention relates to a radial tyre for heavy loads comprising a tread strip T, two walls S, a carcass C composed of at least one layer comprising cables approximately perpendicular to the circumferential direction of the tyre and a belt B arranged radially outside the carcass on almost all the tread strip, formed from cables having an elastic modulus at 1 % extension not less than 3 x 10 kg/mm and comprising at least one main layer B1 whose cables are arranged in a helix with a very low helix pitch, being almost parallel to the circumferential direction of the tyre, and at least one auxiliary layer B2 arranged radially inside the main layer and comprising cables inclined at a relatively significant angle on the circumferential direction of the tyre, so that almost all the traction caused in service along the circumferential direction due to the internal pressure is supported by the main layer, which constrains the increase in diameter of the tread strip.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for easily and accurately measuring abrasion amount of a contact surface with a vehicle hub of a wheel due to fretting wear.
SOLUTION: In this device 10 for measuring the abrasion amount, a measuring element 12c of a linear gage 12 is mounted in a rectangular parallelepiped shaped abutting member 11 to be movable in a direction perpendicular to an abutting surface 11a of the abutting member 11. A distal end of the measuring element 12c is located in a circular annular shaped region having large abrasion amount, and the abutting surface 11a of the abutting member 11 is placed on a vehicle hub mounting surface of the wheel to be measured to be in contact with a substantially circular annular shaped region surrounded by a circle connecting the wheel radial direction outside of bolt insertion holes provided in the wheel and a circle connecting the wheel radial direction inside. Projecting amount of the measuring element 12c from the abutting surface 11a is measured and displayed.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection tool and the like which enables deformation inspection of a bolt hole as well as a wear state inspection of the surface of a nut seat to determine whether the diameter of the nut seat is extended.
SOLUTION: The inspection tool is used for inspection of a state of a mounting hole formed on a wheel to mount the wheel on a hub of a vehicle. The mounting hole include: a bolt hole which allows a bolt projecting from the hub to penetrate therethrough; and the nut seat for a nut to be fastened to the bolt through the bolt hole. The inspection tool 30 is a columnar body including: the nut seat corresponding face (46 or 48) having an inverted shape of the surface of an unused nut seat; and a fitting shaft part (47 or 49) formed by a shaft extending from the circumference face of the end of the nut seat corresponding face, and fitted by a used bolt hole. The circumferential face of the fitting shaft part (47 or 49) forms an arc having a diameter smaller than the diameter of an unused bolt hole.
