PURPOSE:To obtain a product having nonadhesive surface, e.g., sealant tire, etc., by providing a short fiber layer on the surface of a tacky material in such a way as to control the stickiness of the surface and also to make the appearance beautiful. CONSTITUTION:An adhesive, etc., is coated on the surface of a tacky material, e.g., sealant, etc., as needed, and then short fibers of a fiber length of 1-5mm. preferably are spread on the surface of the adhesive coat to form a short fiber layer, for example.
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a bonded article having excellent flexing properties, fatigue resistance and adhesion, by bonding a specified arom. polyamide fiber and an unvulcanized rubber through an adhesive compsn. composed of a high-molecular resorcinol/HCHO precondensate and a rubber latex. CONSTITUTION:An arom. amide such as poly-p-phenyleneterephthalamide is introduced into a zone under reduced pressure of 10 -10Torr where its surface is treated in a gas atmosphere composed of a (non)polymerizable or vaporizable gas alone or their mixture with low-temperature plasma generated by exciting the gas with audio wave, high-frequency wave or microwave. The treated fiber is immersed in an aq. soln. of an adhesive consisting of 5-30wt% high-molecular resorcinol/HCHO precondensate obtd. by reacting 1mol of resorcinol with 0.8- 7.5mol of HCHO, 95-70wt% rubber latex and optionally a low-molecular resorcinol/HCHO precondensate and a polyhydric phenol polysulfide. After the adhesive is cured by heating, an unvulcanized rubber is brought into contact with the fiber and vulcanized, whereby the fiber and the rubber can be firmly bonded.

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition suitable for sealing such electronic materials as liquid crystal, solar cell, electroluminescence, plasma display, by incorporating an ethylene copolymer with either organic peroxide or photosensitizer. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition can be obtained by incorporating (A) an ethylene copolymer [e.g. ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, (meth)acrylic ester copolymer] with (B) either an organic peroxide (e.g. dicumyl peroxide) or photosensitizer (e.g. benzoin isopropyl ether). If necessary, the above composition is further incorporated with (C) a (meth)acrylic ester and vinyl monomer and/or (D) silane coupling agent.
Abstract:
PURPOSE:A hydrophobic foamed product is treated with a low-temperature plasna gas to give a hydrophilic foamed product with improved stability with no valume expansion and no deterioration in mechanical strength. CONSTITUTION:A foamed product of less than 70% closed cell fraction such as foamed polystyrene, polypropylene, polyethylene is exposed to a low-temperature plasma gas of oxygen, nitrogen or argon which is generated by direct current glow discharge, audio waves, microwaves under a reduced pressure of 10 - 100torr, preferably 10 -10torr.
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To impart various polymers with high electrical conductivity having high stability with time, easily, in an industrial scale, by introducing nitrile groups to the surface of a polymer by a low-temperature plasma polymerization, and introducing copper sulfide into the polymer. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a polymer is treated preferably with oxygen plasma or nitrogen plasma, and nitrile groups are introduced into the surface part of the polymer in the form of a polymerized layer having a thickness of preferably 100Angstrom -1mum by a low-temperature plasma polymerization process. The obtained polymer is treated in a bath containing (A) Cu (e.g. CuSO4, CuCl2, etc.), (B) a reducing agent capable of reducing Cu to Cu (e.g. FeSO4, glucose, etc.) and (C) a compound capable of releasing S and/or S ion (e.g. SO2, H2SO3, Rongalite C, etc.) to obtain the objective electrically conductive material. EFFECT:Electrical conductivity can be imparted even to a polymer free of nitrile group without deteriorating various physical properties of the original polymer.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To make the titled adhesion well by modifying the surface of vulcanized rubber to be adhered to polar plastics on the adhesion method of nonpolar plastics and polar plastics via laminated vulcanized rubber. CONSTITUTION: On the laminate of the layer A composed of rubber (e.g., ethylenepropylene-diene terpolymer rubber) capable to adhere to nonpolar plastics and the layer B composed of the rubber (e.g. natural rubber, butadiene rubber) capable to adhere to polar plastics, the surface of the layer B to be adhered is polarized (e.g. application of N,N-dichloro-p-toluenesulfonamide), then it is used for adhesion of nonpolar plastics (e.g. polyethylene) and polar plastics (e.g. polyrethane). PURPOSE:To improve dispersion of liquidized substance within foamed stuff and to perform pouring of the same easily, by a method wherein the liquidized substance is poured into a slit from a pouring nozzle while said slit is being expanded after formation of the slit on the foamed stuff. CONSTITUTION:A slit (example, 3mm. in width and a distance of 5-100mm. between slits are desirable) 3 is formed on foamed stuff (example, soft and semihard urethane foam whose hardness at the time of 25% compression is less than 0.1kg/cm and repulsive elasticity is more than 30%) 2, and liquidized substance is poured into the slit through a pouring nozzle 1 by making either of the foamed stuff 2 or the pouring nozzle 1 of the liquidized substance (example, adhesive agent) or both of them run while the slit is being expanded. For instance, pouring is performed while the nozzle 1 or the foamed stuff 2 is being made to run by inserting the tip part 1a in the inside of the slit 3 by making use of the pouring nozzle 1 whose widthward diameter of the tip part 1a is larger than the width of the slit. USE:The titled method is used for formation of the ceiling of a vehicle.
