Abstract:
An object of the present invention is to provide an ink set which can produce images with color developability undoubtedly higher than images produced by a conventional pigment ink and closer to images produced by silver halide photography or output from a laser printer, in particular, color developability in a red color region, while keeping ink reliability. The ink set comprises at least a first ink and a second ink wherein the first ink has a maximum absorption wavelength in a region of 450 nm or more and less than 500 nm and the second ink has a maximum absorption wavelength in a region of 500 nm or more and 570 nm or less, and the ink set has a B/A ratio of a minimum absorbance B to a maximum absorbance A of 0.7 or more and 1.0 or less among absorbances of the first ink and the second ink in total in a region of 450 nm or more and 570 nm or less.
Abstract:
An ink that realizes excellent recorded matter fixation and excellent ink stability and reliability, enabling stable production of recorded matter with high image quality; recorded image; a method of inkjet recording; and an apparatus in which the above ink is used. There is provided a water base ink containing micromicelles dispersed in transparent single phase in water, characterized in that the micromicelles are those composed of a mixture of two or more types of surfactants brought into clouded or semitransparent dispersion form in water and an alkyl having compound wherein the water dissolution group is only hydroxyl. There are further provided, utilizing the same, a method of inkjet recording, apparatus and recorded image.
Abstract:
A recording head and a recording unit in which both reliability for ejection stability and storage stability and suppression of color mixing phenomenon can be satisfied. The recording head has ejection opening arrays for ejecting a plurality of inks constituting an ink set, respectively. The inks are respectively contained in an ink cartridge having an ink containing section which is brought into an enclosed state. Among the plurality of inks, specific gravities of at least three inks are different from one another and the difference in specific gravity of at least two inks is 0.020 or more. The ejection opening arrays are arranged such that the total sum of the differences in specific gravity between each two inks ejected from adjoining ejection opening arrays among the inks ejected from the ejection opening arrays is minimized.
Abstract:
Water color ink which enables stable inkject recording without depending on a printing environment and the formation of an image having a practically uniform anti-abrasion feature, is free from image stain even at double-side recording and improved in obscurity of the outline portion of an image, and can produce a high-grade image with no color bleeding. Water color ink used in a system for forming an image using water color ink including a reaction liquid containing at least a polyvalent metal and a pigment dispersed element in which a pigment is dispersed by at least an anionic polymer dispersant, characterized in that specific conditions are met.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is an ink-jet printing process comprising the three steps of (a) applying inks containing a disperse dye, a compound for dispersing the disperse dye and an aqueous medium to a cloth comprising fibers dyeable with disperse dyes according to an ink-jet system (b) subjecting the cloth, to which the inks have been applied, to a heat treatment and (c) cleaning the heat-treated cloth, wherein the inks comprise two or more inks which separately contain disperse dyes of the same hue and are different in dye concentration, and the thermal diffusivity of the disperse dye used in the ink having a low dye concentration is higher than that of the disperse dye used in the ink having a high dye concentration.
Abstract:
An ink set is provided which can prevent the occurrence of a new color mixing phenomenon in which a different ink comes into the insides of particular ink channels. The ink set is constituted of plurality of inks. The plurality of inks constituting the ink set is stored respectively in ink cartridges each having an ink storage portion which is brought into a hermetically-closed state. The difference in specific gravity between a first ink having the largest specific gravity and a second ink having the smallest specific gravity among the inks constituting the ink set is less than 0.020.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an aqueous ink containing water, a water-insoluble colorant and a plurality of water-soluble organic solvents. The water-soluble organic solvents contain a good solvent and poor solvent for the water-insoluble colorant in a specific ratio, and the water-soluble solvent having the largest Ka value among the water-soluble organic solvents is a poor solvent. When such an aqueous ink is in contact with a specific reactive liquid, the dissolution state or dispersion state of the water-insoluble colorant in the ink is destabilized, thereby having a sufficiently large area factor even with a small amount of ink droplet and enabling to obtain an image which is excellent in the image density, bleed resistance and fixability. This aqueous ink is also excellent in shelf life stability.
