A dispersed coloring material having a coloring material and charged resin pseudo-fine particles being smaller than the coloring material and having a sulfonic acid group, characterized in that it has a surface functional group density of a sulfonic acid group of 100 µmol/g or more. The above dispersed coloring material exhibits satisfactorily high dispersion stability, is free from the separation of the resin component from the coloring material, and is stable over a long period of time, and can be suitably used for providing an aqueous ink for inkjet recording, an ink tank, an inkjet recording device, an inkjet recording method and an inkjet recorded image.

Water color ink which enables stable inkject recording without depending on a printing environment and the formation of an image having a practically uniform anti-abrasion feature, is free from image stain even at double-side recording and improved in obscurity of the outline portion of an image, and can produce a high-grade image with no color bleeding. Water color ink used in a system for forming an image using water color ink including a reaction liquid containing at least a polyvalent metal and a pigment dispersed element in which a pigment is dispersed by at least an anionic polymer dispersant, characterized in that specific conditions are met.

A disperse color material having a surface subjected to sufficient dispersio n stabilization with a high functional group density wherein a resin component exists on the surface and the resin component is not desorbed from the color material, its convenient producing process, a water-color ink employing such an excellent disperse color material, an inkjet recorder, an inkjet recordin g method, and an inkjet recorded image. An aqueous ink, by which stable ink-jet recording can be conducted irrespective of printing environment, a substantially even image having abrasion resistance can be formed, no image soiling is caused even upon double-side printing, and a high-quality image improved in unclearness at a contour portion of the image and free from occurrence of color bleed can be provided, is provided. The aqueous ink is an aqueous ink used in a system that a reaction liquid containing at least a polyvalent metal and an aqueous ink containing at least a pigment dispersion, in which a pigment is dispersed with an anionic polymer dispersant, are used to form an image, wherein the aqueous ink satisfies specific condition.

The present invention provides a dispersible colorant having a sufficiently high dispersion stability with a high functional group density on the surface and a resin component present on the surface, the resin component not separating from the surface, and a method for simply producing the same. The present invention also provides an aqueous ink containing the excellent, dispersible colorant, ink tank, ink jet recorder, ink jet recording method and inkjet recorded images. The dispersible colorant comprises a colorant and chargeable resin pseudo fine particles having a smaller size than the colorant, and the colorant and particles are fixed to each other.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain colored resin particulates imparting an image having water resistance, weatherability, especially abrasion resistance and excellent in dispersion stability, particularly useful as ink colorant and provide a method for producing the colored resin particulates by which the colored resin particulates having a uniform small particle size are easily obtained or a method for producing an aqueous dispersion of the colored resin particulates. SOLUTION: This method for producing the colored resin particulates includes (i) a process in which an aqueous medium is added to an oil phase containing at least a polymerizable unsaturated monomer, an emulsifier and a polymerization initiator and the ingredients are dispersed in the aqueous medium and (ii) a process in which the polymerizable unsaturated monomer is polymerized. The method is to use pigment-dispersed water as the aqueous medium in the process (i) and emulsify by phase transfer emulsification. The colored resin particulates, an ink using the colored resin particulates, an ink jet recording device and the like are disclosed.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide colored resin fine particles giving an image equipped with waterproof property, weather resistance, light fastness and scratch resistance, also excellent in dispersion stability and useful as a coloring material of an ink having a high color developing property in a high pigment concentration, and a method for producing the colored resin particles in a good efficiency, to prepare an ink, and the like. SOLUTION: The colored resin particles have a structure such that the pigment coated with a non-water soluble resin is contained in a capsule containing a copolymer of at least a polymerizable unsaturated monomer and a reactive emulsifier, the method for producing the colored resin fine particles is the one in which a phase transition emulsifying method is used as an emulsifying process, comprising the emulsifying process of at least the polymerizable unsaturated monomer, a coloring agent, the emulsifier and a polymerization initiator in an aqueous medium and a polymerizing process of the polymerizable unsaturated monomer, and also ink, ink cartridge, recording unit, ink jet-recording device and ink jet-recording method are provided.
