Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable to stop a pallet with a least shock by a means wherein a first transfer, effected by a belt-conveyor, and a second transfer, effected by a moving magnetic field of a magnetic circuit, is combined so as to generate a thrust in a direction in reverse to the direction of a thrust for a pallet being casued by the moving magnetic field. CONSTITUTION:A pallet 4 is transferred by belt-conveyors 1a, 1b while is stopped by a stopping means 12, and predetermined works and processes for goods on the pallet 4 are carried out during those operations. When an electric source switch SW is closed, respective coils 6b1, 6b2, 6b1', 6b2' in a primary side are fed and a 2' and main coils 6b1, 6b1' is caused by a capacitor C1, a thrust in a direction shown by an arrow sign is generated on a stroke b2 and the pallet 4 is transferred. Thereafter, when the pallet 4 is detected by an photoelectric device 16, a contact of a relay-switch RL2 is switched, the pallet 4 is braked due to an opposite-phase moving magnetic field generated in the primary side of the stroke b2 and is stopped at a notched portion 8 of the moving magnetic field.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To realize an effective transfer by a means wherein a second transfer means, consisting of a magnetic circuit utilizing a principle of a linear motor, is provided in series with a first transfer means consisting of a belt-conveyor, and a method of transfer of a pallet by respective transfer means is enabled by switching. CONSTITUTION:A first transfer means or a belt-conveyor is consisting of belts 1a, 1b and a frame 2 carrying the belts thereon, while a pallet 4, having wheels 4c under a bottom thereof, is transferred by the belts 1a, 1b. On the other hand, a second transfer means is constituted with a primary side of a magnetic circuit, consisting of laminated iron sheets 6a, a coil 6b and the like and being fixedly supported by a fixed member 6c within the frame 2 so as to keep a predetermined space between the iron sheets 6a and a secondary conducting body 4a at a lower surface of a container 4, and the secondary conducting body 4a. The second transfer means is provided generally at a down stream side of a stopping means 8, provided for effecting assembling, working or the like of goods on the pallet 4, and the transfer of the pallet 4 may be effected promptly by the driving of the second transfer means.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To ensure an automatic and effective recognition of characters for an inspection of characters on an automatic assembly line of an electronic calculator, by compressing the character pattern information of the displayed characters and thus recognizing the displayed characters. CONSTITUTION:For a head leading process out of the memory CM, the contents of the memory PM is called out to detect the position of the display information on the pattern memory PM that stores the pattern information of the display part of an electronic calculator that received a photoelectric conversion. Then the display information of a character is compressed to an information of e.g. 7 bits based on the mask pattern information that is read out of the memory PM and stored previously into the memory CM. This compression data is compared with the standard pattern information of 8 bits and stored in the memory CM. If the recognized character is defective, the relevant electronic calculator is excluded by the defective product exhausting device NE. In case no defect is detected, the relevant calculator is passed. In such way, an automatic and effective recognition is possible for the characters.

On the other hand, a carrier member 8, moved along guide-rails 2b, 2b protruded inwardly within side frames of the frame 2 through wheels 8a-8d and fixed at any optional position by a fixing means 10a, 10b, is provided so as to carry a primary side of a magnetic circuit consisting of laminated iron sheets 6a, a coil 6b and the like through a magnetic shield board 9. A secondary side of the magnetic circuit, consisting of an iron plate 4b fixed to the bottom surface of the pallet 4 and the like, is cooperated with the first circuit in order to constitute a second transfer means.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To compress the character pattern information of displayed character and to enable to recognize the displayed character, by providing the storage means storing the recognized object character, count means counting the number of ON-bit, and discriminating means discriminting the recognition object character. CONSTITUTION:Lead-in processing which seeks the corresponding display character on PM among the images of display section of electronic desk top calculator strored in the pattern memory PM, is made and the corresponding part is confirmed. Next, one of displayed characters among the displayed characters is read out from PM, and the ON-bit representing the part corresponding to the characters of the character pattern is counted. The characters to be recognized based on the data of ON-bit number are limited. Further, mask check is made and the character to be recognized is discriminated. Next, the checking of all the displayed characters for electronic desk top calculator is checked, and if NO, the next character is processed as mentioned above, and if YES, overall discrimination is made. If defective displayed characters are present, the defective goods discharge device NE is driven via the input/output circuit IO by treating it as NG to eliminate the electronic desk top calculator. If GO, the next calculator is inspected.
