Abstract: A printing apparatus, including: printing unit; conveying unit; print control unit; correcting unit configured to determine, in printing an image on each of a plurality of sets of the same type of print medium, a correction value for correcting printing position shift between a plurality of nozzle arrays based on an inspection pattern printed on a preceding region of the print medium, and to correct the printing position between the plurality of nozzle arrays in the subsequent region of the print medium by using the determined correction value, wherein the correcting unit corrects, in printing on a leading end region of a set of print medium subsequent to the preceding set of print medium, the printing position shift by using the correction value used in printing on the preceding set of print medium.

Abstract: Ein Druckgerät (1) weist Folgendes auf: eine Druckeinrichtung (5); eine Fördereinrichtung (13); eine Drucksteuerungseinrichtung (17); eine Korrektureinrichtung (17), die gestaltet ist, um beim Drucken eines Bilds auf jedes einer Vielzahl von Blättern derselben Art eines Druckmediums einen Korrekturwert zum Korrigieren eines Druckpositionsversatzes zwischen einer Vielzahl von Düsenreihen auf der Grundlage eines Inspektionsmusters zu bestimmen, das auf eine vorangehende Region des Druckmediums gedruckt ist, und um die Druckposition zwischen der Vielzahl von Düsenreihen in der nachfolgenden Region des Druckmediums mittels des bestimmten Korrekturwerts zu korrigieren, wobei die Korrektureinrichtung beim Drucken auf eine vordere Endregion eines Blatts eines Druckmediums, das dem vorangehenden Blatt des Druckmediums nachfolgt, den Druckpositionsversatz mittels des Korrekturwerts korrigiert, der beim Drucken auf das vorangehende Blatt des Druckmediums verwendet wird.

Abstract: A printing apparatus 1, including: printing means 5; conveying means 13; print control means 17; and correcting means 17 configured to determine, in printing an image on each of a plurality of sheets of the same type of print medium, a correction value for correcting printing position shift between a plurality of nozzle arrays based on an inspection pattern printed on a preceding region of the print medium. The correcting means 17 subsequently corrects the printing position between the plurality of nozzle arrays in the subsequent region of the print medium by using the determined correction value. Further the correcting means corrects, in printing on a leading end region of a sheet of print medium subsequent to the preceding sheet of print medium, the printing position shift by using the correction value used in printing on the preceding sheet of print medium. There is also provided a method for correcting the printing position shift using the correction value based on an inspection pattern.
