    Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes: an original circulation unit (300) for feeding originals (302) placed on an original mounting unit (301) one by one to an exposure site (101) and after the exposure, returning the original to the original mounting unit (301); a copying unit for copying an original image to a recording sheet through exposure of the original at the exposure site; a first transport unit for feeding the recording sheet to a copy site; a first control unit for performing the original circulation by the original circulation unit (300) for a set number of times to obtain the set number of copies; a second transport unit for feeding a specific sheet for each circulation of the originals; and a second control unit for controlling the first and second transport units to pre-feed the recording sheet and the specific sheet to be next supplied during a copy operation. In a specific mode, an image of a specific one of the originals is formed with a first color and images of the other originals are formed with a secong color.

    Abstract: An image processing apparatus includes a process unit for reproducing an image on a document onto a recording medium and a detection circuit for detecting the status of the document image. A control circuit controls the process unit to reproduce the document image at a predetermined magnification. The status of the document may include the area of the image on the document, whether the document image is adjacent an edge of the document, the location of the edge of the document, or the disposition of the document. The magnification of reproduction of the document image is then controlled by the control circuit in accordance with the detection of that particular status. For example, if it is determined that the document image is adjacent the edge of the document, reproduction is controlled to be at reduced magnification. If the document is determined to be away from a reference position, a portion of the reproduced image may be erased so that only the actual document image is reproduced rather than unwanted background adjacent the document.

    Abstract: An image processing apparatus includes a process unit for reproducing an image on a document onto a recording medium and a detection circuit for detecting the status of the document image.
