Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent prozone phenomenon so as to enable stable and accurate measurement by reacting a complex with a second reagent while effecting physical action so that the degree of monodispersion of the complex is more than a specific value. CONSTITUTION:A first reagent, which is formed when a first material immunologically active to a material for measurement in a sample is bonded to the surface of solid particulates, is reacted with the sample in a liquid medium so as to form a complex 1 of the first reagent and the material for measurement and then a second reagent, which is formed when a second material immunologically active to the material for measurement and different from the first reagent is labeled in advance, is added to the complex 1 to generate a complex 2 and the amount by which the complex 2 is labeled is measured whereby the quantity of the material for measurement contained in the sample is determined. In this case, the complex 2 is reacted with the second reagent in such a manner that the degree X(%) of monodispersion of the complex 1, which is defined by the formula X=n/SX100 wherein n represents the number of complexes 1 which are monomers and S the total number of particulates, is more than 90. Prozone phenomenon is thereby prevented and stable and accurate measurement is made possible.

Thus, the orientation of protein for the inside and outside of the membrane of the vesicules can be controlled in a stage of forming a proteoliposome by introducing a protein into a liposome.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable efficient restoration of polluted soil, before forcibly pouring microorganisms into soil, by pouring a member for lowering a water permeability factor into soil in the upper or lower part of a pouring object area. SOLUTION: A pouring means consisting of a pouring material tank 1, a pouring pump 2, a flowmeter 3, a pouring pipe 4 having a pouring port 6, a packer 5 for setting the pouring depth, and the like, is used to appropriately pour decomposition microorganisms and a nutrient necessary for propagation/ maintaining activity thereof, an inducer, and oxygen and other chemical substances into a restoration area 9 of polluted soil. That is to say, after a water permeability factor in the upper or lower part of a soil layer is increased, by pouring microorganisms and a nutrient necessary for maintaining the decomposition activity thereof, and the like, restoration of soil is efficiently performed. When an injection material is thus poured into soil whose upper and lower parts have undergone water impermeability treatment, total poured volume, pouring time, pouring pressure, or poured flow rate, or the like, can be adjusted to pour microorganisms, and the like, into a limited area.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To limit the directionality of protein with respect to the inside and outside of a vesicular membrane by incorporating membrane protein modified by a carrier having a predetermined volume and shape in a liposome to form a proteoliposome. CONSTITUTION:The specific region of the hydrophilic side chain of membrane protein 2 is modified by a carrier to be immobilized. Subsequently, a dispersion of a liposome 3 is mixed with the membrane protein 2 held to the carrier to incorporate the membrane protein 2 in the liposome and, thereafter, the membrane protein 2 is dissociated from the carrier 1 to form a proteoliposome 4. As the aforementioned liposome, any one capable of taking a bimolecular membrane lamella structure may be used and there are various phospholipids, glycolipids and neutral lipids. As an embodiment of a method for bonding and dissociating the specific region of the hydrophilic side chain of membrane protein, a chromatography technique of protein can be applied.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for detection, where living-body volatile components discharged from a living-body to the outside of the living- body, the so-called 'odorous' substance, especially an odorous material carrying information related to the physiological function, in the inside of the living-body or related to a communication between individuals, can be detected by properly combining general-purpose devices used in an ordinary clinical inspection and the odorous material can be detected quantitatively and with high accuracy for each individual. SOLUTION: Instead of the living-body volatile component actually discharged from an individual, a living-body sample which is sampled directly from the individual and which contains a precursor for the living-body volatile components, e.g. a body fluid is used, a means which separates the precursor into the living-body volatile component as a target and its carrier, e.g. an enzyme or the like is made to act, the separated living-body volatile component is detected, and the amount of the living-body volatile components which are actually discharged from the individual is estimated with high accuracy on the basis of the detected result.
