    Abstract: A labeling assembly is shown and described herein. A labeling assembly for laminating labels may include a label sheet, a laminating sheet and an alignment member. The alignment member may allow folding of the label sheet and laminating sheet. The label sheet may include a facestock sheet and a liner sheet. Labels may be pre-cut in the facestock sheet. The laminating sheet may include a laminae film sheet and a liner sheet. Protective covers may be pre-cut in the liner sheet and laminae overlays may be pre-cut in the laminae film sheet. The protective covers may be removed to expose an adhesive portion of the laminae overlay. The label sheet and the laminating sheet may be folded onto each other at the alignment member. The laminae overlay may adhere to the label to form a removable laminated label.

    Abstract: A barrier coating is used in combination with a UV-cured adhesive on paperstock to prolong the tack and overall performance of the adhesive. Some aspects of the coating incorporate a chelating material to arrest or completely prevent the migration of unwanted ions, possibly including calcium ions, from moving between the paperstock and the adhesive in a manner that negatively impacts the adhesive. The resulting stock is particularly well-suited to labels and other similar uses.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to self-adhesive labels, label sheet assemblies, and related methods. The label sheet assembly includes a release liner assembly having a detachable portion, and a label releasably coupled to the release liner assembly and overlying the detachable portion. Weakened separation lines, a U-shaped cut, and a transverse cut define the detachable portion. The detachable portion is configured to remain coupled to the label as the label is peeled from the release liner assembly in a first direction, and the detachable portion is configured to remain part of the release liner assembly and separate from the label as the label is peeled from the release liner assembly in a second direction.

    Abstract: Provided is a printable coating, printable media and printable labels thereof, usable in both inkjet and direct thermal printing applications. The coating comprises leuco dye blended into an inkjet coating formulation, wherein the coating is applied on the first face of an appropriate paper or film to form the printable media. The coating may be applied as a single, homogenous topcoat thereby streamlining the manufacturing process and reducing potential printing errors. The coating may provide a printable area compatible for use with both direct thermal printers and inkjet printers. On the opposite face of the paper or film, an adhesive may be applied, in combination with an optional release liner, to form printable label stock. Each step of the process, e.g. application of the coating, application of the adhesive and liner, and die-cutting of labels, may occur in any order combination relative to one another. In addition, reverse printing may also be utilized to print and form the labels.
