Abstract:
Método para preparar cubiertas de polímero, que comprende las etapas de: (a) disolver un componente de polímero en un primer disolvente, en el que el componente de polímero es un polisacárido; (b) disolver una sustancia formadora de núcleo en la disolución de la etapa (a), en el que la sustancia formadora de núcleo comprende al menos un gas y dicha disolución comprende alimentar el gas a la disolución obtenida en la etapa (a), o presurizar la disolución obtenida en la etapa (a) con el gas; y (c) precipitar el componente de polímero y formar núcleos poniendo en contacto la primera disolución con un segundo disolvente de carácter polar en el que el componente de polímero es insoluble, obteniendo de ese modo cubiertas de polímero formadas alrededor de dichos núcleos.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for the production of a superhydrophobic film, surface or material comprising the steps of: (i) providing a composition comprising a hydrophobic substance and a hydrophilic solvent, the hydrophilic solvent being a liquid at a temperature of 25° C. and atmospheric pressure; and (ii) spraying the composition towards a substrate for deposition of a solid residue onto the surface of the substrate for generation of the superhydrophobic film, surface or material; wherein the temperature of the composition is higher that the temperature of the substrate when carrying out step (ii). A composition, use of the composition and a substrate is also provided.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for the preparation of polymer shells, preferably composed of cellulose or hemicellulose, comprising the steps of dissolving the polymer component in a first solvent, preferably an organic solvent and precipitating the polymer component by contacting the first solution with a second solvent, which second solvent has a polar character, and in which second solvent the polymer component is essentially insoluble, thereby obtaining polymer shells. Moreover, the invention refers to the polymer shells as such, having permeable and responsive properties, as well as various applications comprising such polymer shells within the fields of drug delivery, separation techniques, and inter alia filling material.
