Abstract:
The invention provides an aqueous, hard surface cleaner with significantly improved residue removal and substantially reduced filming/streaking, said cleaner comprising: (a) an effective amount of a solvent selected from C1-6 alkanol, C3-24 alkylene glycol ether, and mixtures thereof; (b) an effective amount of at least one nonionic surfactant; (c) an effective amount of a buffering system which comprises a nitrogenous buffer selected from the group consisting of: ammonium or alkaline earth carbamates, guanidine derivatives, alkoxylalkylamines and alkyleneamines; and (d) the remainder as substantially all water.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a thickened pine oil based liquid aqueous cleaner having: (a) an effective amount of pine oil; (b) an effective amount of a surfactant; (c) an effective amount of a thickener; (d) an effective amount of an antioxidant stabilizer; and (e) the remainder, water.
Abstract:
An aerosol cleaning composition for hard surfaces is provided. The dispensable includes: (a) an anionic, nonionic, amphoteric surfactant, and mixtures thereof with optionally, a quaternary ammonium surfactant, the total amount of said surfactant being present in a cleaning effective amount; (b) at least one water-soluble or dispersible organic solvent having a vapor pressure of at least 0.001 mm Hg at 25 DEG C., said at least one organic solvent present in a solubilizing-or dispersion-effective amount; (c) a chelating agent selected from the group consisting of tetrapotassium ethylenediamine-tetraacetate (potassium EDTA), tetraammonium ethylenediamine-tetraacetate (ammonium EDTA) and mixtures thereof, said chelating agent present in an amount effective to enhance soil removal in said composition; (d) an effective amount of a propellant; and (e) the remainder, water. The forming action of the aerosol composition facilitates the dispersement of the cleaning components.

Abstract:
A fabric treatment composition that includes at least one zeta potential modifier and a hydrophobic agent with a melting point or glass transition temperature below 100~C that imparts fabric protection benefits, including improved stain resistance, oil repellency, water repellency, softness, wrink le and damage resistance, and better handfeel to treated fabrics. Particularly preferred compositions include at least one zeta potential modifier in an amount sufficient to adjust the zeta potential of the composition to be positive and greater than zero millivolts. Particularly preferred compositio ns also include a fluoropolymer. The composition can be used as a pretreatment prior to washing, through soaking or direct spray application, or added to t he wash or rinse cycle of an automatic washing machine, or used prior to or during the drying cycle of'an automatic drying machine or refresher machine, or used prior to or in conjunction with an ironing device. The fabric treatment is complete when the fabric is cured by drying and/or heating.
