    Abstract: The device of the invention includes at least one plane detector (2a, 2b) capable of transforming radiation (8) into electrical charges including a common electrode (12) on an entrance face and a mosaic of pad electrodes (14) and metal strips (34a-34e) on an exit face; several plane integrated-circuit chips (10a, 10b) arranged opposite the entrance face of the detector and including a mosaic of read-out circuits (16) and metal strips (30a, 30d) for connecting these circuits to exterior devices for supply, control and processing of output signals, each read-out circuit being hybridised with a microball with one pad electrode and the strips of the chip being arranged opposite the strips of the detector and hybridised therewith by microballs. This device is intended for mammography or dental imaging.
