    Abstract: A telecommunications patch panel system (10) including a plurality of multiport telecommunications bezel assemblies (200) installed within a panel frame (100) is presented. The bezel assemblies (200) are formed from cooperating first and second frame parts (210, 240) to define a plurality of jack receptacle openings (202). In one example, the plurality of jack receptacles (202) are arranged in a two-row array. The first and second frame parts (210, 240) also retain a central bonding strip (290) having a plurality of grounding contact elements (292, 293). The grounding contact elements (292, 293) ground the jack modules (120) that are installed within the bezel assembly jack receptacle openings (202). Where a two-row array of jack receptacle openings (202) is provided, the central bonding strip (290) can be configured to extend between the rows. The central bonding strip (290) can provide grounding for multiple bezel assemblies (200).

    Abstract: A telecommunications panel has various features for removably mounting patching devices to the panel. The telecommunications panel includes mounting flanges and ramp elements for facilitating mounting and removal of patching devices. The ramp element is associated with a receptacle opening of the panel and configured to contact a flexible latch of the patching device and depress the flexible latch as the patching device is received in the receptacle opening.

    Abstract: A modular plug is disclosed for terminating a telecommunications cable having twisted pairs of wires. The modular plug includes a housing defining an internal cavity and slots positioned toward a distal end of the housing, each slot being parallel to a central axis of the modular plug. A wire manager is fitted inside the internal cavity, and defines channels for positioning the twisted pairs of wires inside the housing. A wire sled extends from the wire manager and defines a plurality of grooves, each groove shaped to position an individual wire from the twisted pairs of wires at an angle with respect to the central axis. The modular plug further includes a plurality of plug contacts. Each plug contact is held by a slot of the housing and is structured to form an electrical interface with a wire positioned by the wire sled.

    Abstract: A telecommunications connector assembly includes a connector having a jack cavity and an oppositely disposed cable grounding part, a cable connected to the telecommunications connector and extending through the cable grounding part, and a cap assembly connected to the telecommunications connector. The cap assembly can include a main body defining an first internal cable passageway portion within a first shroud portion abutting a rear face of the connector, and defining a second internal cable passageway defined by a second shroud portion received into the cable grounding part, wherein the first and second internal cable passageways are disposed at a non-zero angle to each other. The cap assembly can further include a strap for securing the cable to the first shroud portion.

    Abstract: A modular plug for terminating a telecommunications cable includes a housing, a plurality of wire contacts, and a wire manager fitted in an internal cavity of the housing. The wire manager includes internal walls shaping a central channel, opposing edges on the internal walls defining a gate in the central channel, and tabs projecting from the gate in the central channel. The tabs define an upper portion and a lower portion in the gate. A strain relief member attaches to the wire manager in an intermediate position to partially restrain the telecommunications cable relative to the wire manager, and is restrained by the housing in a final position to completely restrain the telecommunications cable relative to the wire manager.

    Abstract: A connector assembly (10) is disclosed in which a connector part (12) and a cable manager part (20) are provided.
