Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a just mediation mechanism to an isochronous device. SOLUTION: A bus interface device controlling access to a processor bus 103 and a peripheral bus 114 from a memory is provided with a CPU interface 204 receiving a memory request from a micro processor, a peripheral bus interface 212 receiving the memory request from the peripheral bus, a memory controller 210 controlling access to the memory and a queue manager 206. The manager 206 mediates pending requests in the respective interfaces by using the round robin mediation algorithm. Thus, just mediation is realized.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a hit rate and bit efficiency by responding to the detection of a succeeding read request with respect to continuous lines and fetching a pair of continuous data lines from a memory. SOLUTION: A fetch control unit 802 decides whether or not a requested data line continues with what is the last in a memory read request before being supplied to a CPU memory temporary buffer 308. When the request does not continue with a line of the preceding line request, the unit 802 does not perform any more operation. That is, when a request with respect to a data line including the current request continues with what is the last in a read request before being supplied to the buffer 308, the unit 802 generates an estimation request and fetches the next data line continuing with the current request. The original request and the estimation request are supplied to the buffer 308.
