Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strengthened glass article having a central tension that is below a threshold value above which the glass exhibits vulnerability.SOLUTION: The strengthened glass article has a thickness t and comprises: an outer region, the outer region extending from a surface of the article to a depth of layer DOL within the article, wherein the outer region is under a compressive stress CS; and an inner region, wherein the inner region is under a central tension CT, and wherein -15.7 t +52.5
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a device for measuring a current in a magnetic field which includes a glass article (3) wherein the glass may be an oxyfluoride glass or a bismuth oxide glass having a photoelastic coefficient of from -0.2 to 0.2 at 546 nm. Further, the present invention relates to a method of measuring currents.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A print press system and a method are described herein that print an electronic circuit onto a material (e.g., glass substrate, plastic film, plastic film-glass substrate laminate). In exemplary applications, the print press system can print an electronic circuit onto a material to form, for instance, a flexible Liquid Crystal Display, a retail point of purchase sign and an e-book.
Abstract:
A strengthened glass article having a central tension that is below a threshold value above which the glass exhibits frangible behavior. The central tension varies non-linearly with the thickness of the glass. The glass may be used as a cover plate or window for portable or mobile electronic devices such as cellular phones and the like.
