Abstract: A sensor patch for attachment to a base plate for an ostomy appliance, the sensor patch having a distal side and an adhesive proximal side, the distal side being adapted for attachment to an adhesive surface of the base plate, wherein the adhesive surface of the base plate is adapted for attachment of the base plate to the skin surface of a user. The adhesive proximal surface of the sensor patch being provided with a release liner. The sensor patch comprises a central section and a peripheral section, where the central section is provided with a stomal opening comprising an inner edge portion encircling the stomal opening and where the inner edge portion of the release liner is provided with guiding means.
