Abstract:
An implant includes a support body defining a longitudinal axis, two transverse arms, two pubic arms, and a pubic arm attachment mechanism. The two transverse arms are aligned on a common transverse axis of the implant. The two pubic arms include a first pubic arm spaced a distance apart from a second pubic arm and both the first and second pubic arms are parallel to the longitudinal axis. The pubic arm attachment mechanism is attached to an end of each of the first and second pubic arms. Each of the first and second pubic arms has an arm length that is less than a body length of the support body.
Abstract:
A body implantable penile prosthetic assembly includes a pump and a release mechanism and a method of providing a user with the body implantable penile prosthetic assembly. The pump is connectable to a pressure reservoir and a penile implant, where the pressure reservoir contains a pressurized liquid at a first pressure when implanted. The release mechanism is connectable between the pressure reservoir and the penile implant and is configured to release the pressurized liquid from the pressure reservoir to inflate the penile implant to a second pressure that is less than the first pressure. The pump is operable to transfer the pressurized liquid from the penile implant to the pressure reservoir to deflate the penile implant, and pressurize the pressurized liquid in the pressure reservoir from the second pressure to at least the first pressure.
Abstract:
A suturing assembly configured to place suture in tissue includes a handle having an actuator, a shaft coupled to the handle, and a head coupled to the shaft. The head includes a proximal portion housing a needle movable through a needle exit port and a distal end spaced apart from the proximal portion by a throat, the distal end defining a cavity. The actuator is configured to move the needle out of the needle exit port formed in the proximal portion of the head and across the throat to engage a capsule disposed in the cavity formed in the distal end of the head, the capsule attached to the suture.

Abstract:
An incontinence treatment device includes a synthetic urethra and a cuff separate from the synthetic urethra. The synthetic urethra provides a flow diameter that is configured to be spliced into a natural urethra such that the flow diameter is aligned with a lumen of the natural urethra for passage of urine. A closure device includes a pump communicating between a reservoir and the cuff. The cuff is attachable around an outer circumference of the synthetic urethra. The pump is operable to move a liquid from the reservoir to inflate the cuff, the inflated cuff adapted to circumferentially compress and constrict the flow diameter of the synthetic urethra.

AND A METHOD OF IMPLANTING A PENILE PROSTHETIC IN A MAN An implantable penile prosthetic (20) includes a pump (22) attachable between a reservoir (26) and a cylinder (32) that is implantable into a corpora cavemosum of a penis. The reservoir has a central longitudinal axis (CL) and includes a wall connected between a first edge (52) of a first surface (54) and a second edge (62) of a second surface (64). The first surface is concave relative to the first edge and the second surface is concave relative to the second edge such that each of the first and second surfaces form a depression in the reservoir when the reservoir is empty of liquid. The reservoir expands to contain liquid such that the first surface and the second surface are both convex relative to the central longitudinal axis.
Abstract:
A reservoir for use with an implantable penile prosthetic. The reservoir has a neck providing an outlet from the empty reservoir, an end on a side of the empty reservoir opposite of the neck, and a first major surface separated from a second major surface by a side wall. The first and second major surfaces are both concave and each form opposed depressions in the reservoir, wherein the side wall is connected between a first edge of the first major surface and a second edge of the second major surface, with the first major surface concave relative to the first edge and the second major surface concave relative to the second edge.

An incontinence treatment device includes a section of synthetic urethra and a closure device attached to the section of synthetic urethra. The section of synthetic urethra provides a flow diameter and is configured to be spliced into a natural urethra such that the flow diameter is aligned with a lumen of the natural urethra for passage of urine. The closure device is attached to the section of synthetic urethra and operable to coapt the flow diameter to allow a user to impede the passage of urine and be continent.
