Abstract: A method of operating a monitor device for a personal care system is disclosed. The monitor device comprises a processor; a memory connected to the processor; a first interface connected to the processor, the first interface for connecting the monitor device to a personal care appliance; and a second interface comprising a transceiver module for connecting the monitor device to an accessory device of the personal care system. The method comprises establishing a connection between the monitor device and at least one of the accessory devices; determining whether a primary storing criterion based on a quality of the connection is satisfied; and in accordance with a determination that the primary storing criterion is satisfied, storing primary monitor data in the memory according to a primary storing scheme selected from a plurality of storing schemes.
