    Abstract: A film for laser transfer recording having high resolving power. The recording film is provided on a clear substrate (1) with a recording layer (2) which contains a binder that is highly resistant to oxidation, fine particles which impart a high blackening concentration and which absorbs heat, and a heat absorbing agent which is highly absorbent over a wavelength region of the laser beam used for recording. Further, the recording layer (2) may be coated with a protector layer, which consists of a high polymeric organic substance.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide the composition high in biodegradability and moldability, useful for various molded products, e.g. fibrous molded products such as cigarette filters. CONSTITUTION:The composition is composed of a cellulose ester containing >=10wt.% of a low-substitution degree cellulose ester =60wt.% degradable 4 weeks after left to stand determined by the testing method in accordance with the ASTM 125209-91. This composition may also be incorporated with plasticizer and/or aliphatic polyester, and/or photolysis promoter such as anatase-type titanium dioxide and/or biodegradation promoter such as organic acid or its ester. The low-substitution degree cellulose ester may be a cellulose acetate 50-250 in average polymerization degree, 1.0-2.15 in average substitution degree and 0.1 to 1.1 in the equivalent ratio of the residual sulfuric acid to the alkali (alkaline earth) metal.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To make continuous coating possible and to improve the efficiency of a work remarkably by providing coating liquid stoppers at the upper and lower ends of a recording body drum and pouring and setting the coating liquid in a tongue tank adjacent to the upper coating liquid stopper and pulling up the recording body drum at fixed speed. CONSTITUTION:Coating liquid stoppers 6, 7 are set to the upper and lower ends of a recording body drum to fit to the shape of the recording body drum, and a coating liquid storing tank sealing by a ring upper dish 3, a lower dish 4 and a polyethylene ring sheet 5 is provided at the position of the upper coating liquid stopper 6. The coating liquid 2 is put in it and the recording body drum 1 is pulled up at the fixed speed in it, or the recording body drum is fixed, and coating is made while moving the ring tank in which the coating liquid is stored. The ring tank is stopped at the position of the lower coating liquid stopper 7, and the recording body drum 1 is detached and dried with the coating liquid stored in the tank. Then, next recording body drum 1 is set and coated continuously.

CONSTITUTION:The titled composition contains the imidazole compd. shown by formula (1) and the hexaarylbiimidazole shown by formula (2) and the oxidizable leucotriarylmethane dye. An example of the imidazole compd. is a compd. shown by formula (3). As the hexaarylbiimidazole, 2,2'-di(2-chlorophenyl)-4,5,4',5'- tetra-phenyl-1 etc. may be used. as the oxidizable leucoarylmethane dye, tris(4- diethylamino-o-tolyl)methane, etc., may be used.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To form an excellent film enhancing the slip property between a cylindrical body and a shielding member, in a vertical type coating method, by rotating the cylindrical body around the axis thereof during the application of a coating solution. CONSTITUTION:A coating solution 4 is preliminarily housed in a concave coating solution storing part 13 formed around the cylindrical body 1 inserted in the opening of a shielding member 8 by the shielding member 8 and a short cylindrical member 9. When the cylindrical body 1 is upwardly moved in this state while rotated around a support shaft 5 to form a film 15, the slip property between the shielding member 8 and the cylindrical body 1 is enhanced and, therefore, the thickness of the film 15 becomes uniform and the film having no pinhole is obtained.

CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. thermoplastic polymer binder (A) obtained by copolymerization with 5-50wt% carboxyl group-containing addition- polymerizable monomer (A) [e.g., poly(methyl methacrylate/acrylic acid) (75/25wt%)] is mixed with 20-200pts.wt. addition-polymerizable compound (B), b.p. >=50 deg.C, containing at least 2pts.wt. unsaturated compound (a), MW of 350-2,000, having at least three unsaturated groups in the molecule and represented by the formula (wherein R1-3 are each H or CH3 and n is 1-6), e.g., glycerylpropoxy trimethacrylate and at least 2pts.wt. compound (b) having at least two addition-polymerizable ethylene groups and at least one phenylene group in the molecule {e.g., 2,2-bis[4-(acryloxy.diethoxy)phenyl]propane} and 0.01-30pts.wt. photoinitiator (system) (C).
