PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adhesive for cigarette tip excellent in its initial adhesiveness showing its adhesion force in a short time. SOLUTION: This aq. adhesive is obtd. by combining a plasticizer and an aq. polymer emulsion contg. a vinyl acetate polymer as a polymer particle using a modified polyvinyl alcohol contg. a carboxy group and a 5-15C alkyl group as an emulsifier, and it may contain a water-soluble polymer. The glass transition temp. (Tg) of the vinyl acetate polymer is about -30-70 deg.C and the average particle diameter is about 0.01-5 μm. The content of the modified polyvinyl alcohol is about 1-20 pts.wt. of 100 pts.wt. of the polymer particle (or the total of its monomer) in the aq. polymer emulsion.

SOLUTION: The invention relates to the method for preparing the optically active amino acid represented by formula (I), (in the formula, R is an aromatic ring with one or a plurality of substituents on an ortho-, meta- or para-position, or a cyclohexyl ring, wherein the substituent is a halogen atom, a 1-3C alkyl group, a 1-3C alkoxy group, an amino group, a nitro group or a mercapto group). The method comprises following processes, a process acting a culture, cell or its treated product of a microorganism having potentials to stereo selectively assimilating one of the stereo isomer in the mixture of the stereo isomers of the prescribed amino acid derivatives, a process collecting the optically active amino acid derivative. The optically active amino acid derivative is useful for raw materials for synthesis of pharmaceutical. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a new (2S,3S)-2,3-butanediol dehydrogenase useful for the production of ketones and alcohols, especially an optically active vicinal diol. SOLUTION: Zoogloea ramigera produces a new (2S,3S)-2,3-butanediol dehydrogenase having high activity and stereo-specificity. A DNA chain encoding the (2S,3S)-2,3-butanediol dehydrogenase is cloned to clarify its base sequence and the (2S,3S)-2,3-butanediol dehydrogenase is expressed by using a different kind microorganism. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To raise water resistance, ink absorptivity, and ink fixation by forming an ink absorptive layer formed by a water-insoluble cellulose derivative and a hydrophilic polymer being soluble in an organic solvent on at least one surface of a base material. SOLUTION: The ink absorptive layer is formed by at least water-insoluble cellulose derivative and a hydrophilic polymer being soluble in an organic solvent, and the kind thereof is not limited in particular. The water-insoluble cellulose derivative contains a water-insoluble compound having a cellulose skeleton, e.g. a kind of cellulose ester, cellulose ether, or the like, and these water-insoluble cellulose derivatives can be used in combination. Also, the hydrophilic component being soluble in an organic solvent can contain, e.g. a hydrophilic natural polymer or its derivative, a cellulose derivative, or the like. These hydrophilic polymers can be used alone or in a combination of two or more kinds.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for the enzymatic production of an optically active α-halophenylethanol derivative. SOLUTION: The optically active α-halophenylethanol derivative of formula II is produced by treating an α-haloacetophenone derivative with a cultured product, cell or its treated product of a microorganism capable of stereoselectively reducing the haloacetophenone derivative and recovering the produced optically active α-halophenylethanol derivative from the system. The optically active α-halophenylethanol derivative produced by the method is useful as a synthetic intermediate for pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for stereo-selectively producing an (R)- propoxybenzene derivative that is important as an intermediate for synthesizing medicines. SOLUTION: This method for producing an (R)-propoxybenzene derivative is characterized by producing an (R)-propoxybenzene derivative by making an (R)-phenylethanol dehydrogenase derived from a lactic acid bacterium act on an acetonitrile oxybenzene derivative, and permits efficiently synthesizing an (R)-propoxybenzene derivative having a high optical purity.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adhesive for cigarette tip showing its adhesion force in a short time and excellent in its initial adhesiveness. SOLUTION: This aq. adhesive is obtd. by adding a plasticizer and an formaldehyde condensate of an arom. sulfonic acid alkali metal salt to an aq. emulsion contg. a vinyl acetate polymer particle using a polyvinyl alcohol polymer as an emulsifier, and a water-soluble polymer may be added. The glass transition temp. (Tg) of the vinyl acetate polymer is about -30-70 deg.C and the average particle diameter is about 0.01-5 μm. The quantity of the formaldehyde condensate of an arom. sulfonic acid alkali metal salt is about 0.1-100 pts.wt. to 100 pts.wt. of the polyvinyl alcohol polymer.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a thermoplastic resin composition of which the hest-sensitive adhesive sheet is easily peeled off by an alkaline solption without leaving an adhesive on an adherend and without spoiling appearance when the adhesive sheet is made to adhere to the adherend when used as the adhesive of the adhesive sheet. SOLUTION: This thermoplastic resin composition comprises a thermoplastic resin and a solid plasticizer and the thermoplastic resin has 2-30% soluble fraction in tetrahydrofuran. Melting point of the solid plasticizer is preferably 70-120 deg.C and the content of the solid plasticizer is preferably about 30-1,000 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of the thermoplastic resin. The thermoplastic resin composition may further contain a tackifier.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-sensitive pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet which exhibits strong adhesion to an adherend composed of a plastic over a long period of time and, in addition, can be produced wish good operating efficiency. SOLUTION: In a heat-sensitive pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet having a heat-sensitive pressure-sensitive adhesive layer composed of a resin composition containing a thermoplastic resin, a solid plasticizer, and a tackifier which is formed on at least one side of a plastic sheet, the adhesive force in 6 months after the heat-sensitive pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet has been heated to develop tackiness and applied to an adherend is not less than 500 gf/25 mm. In this heat-sensitive pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet, two ore more solid plasticizers are employed and the ratio (molar ratio) of one of the two or more solid plasticizers to any one of the other solid plasticizers may be in the range of 1:0.7 to 1:1.3.
