Abstract: Precipitated silica has the following properties: (1) BET surface area = 50-700m /g; (2) DBP absorption = 100-450g/100g; (3) choline chloride absorption for a 75 wt.% aqueous solution = 150-400g/100g; (4) CTAB surface area = 50-350m /g; and (5) DBP/choline chloride absorption ratio = below 1.07. An Independent claim is also included for production of the precipitated silica.
