Abstract: A process for the production of furnace carbon blacks with a faint structure produced by the addition of alkali metal salts is described. An intimate mixture of the liquid carbon black oil and of the solution of the structure-reducing additive is produced in one or more static mixers and is fed to the reactor. The carbon black formed is grit-free. The invention furthermore relates to an apparatus for carrying out the process.
