    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a spherical pigment based on an oxide or silicate salt carrier material having a finely dispersed metal, and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: This pigment is obtained by a spray-pyrolyzing method comprising pyrolyzing an aerosol comprising the solution of at least one kind of a noble metal compound and an oxide or silicate salt-forming precursor at a temperature exceeding the decomposition temperature of the noble metal compound and a temperature for forming at least a carrier material from the oxide or silicate salt-forming precursor and subsequently separating the produced pigment from the pyrolyzed gas.     Abstract: Bright, low carat gold-silver-alloy coatings which are ductile and have a thickness up to over 100 mu m are obtained from an electrolytic bath containing 0.5 to 25 g/l of gold in the form of alkali gold cyanide, 0.25 to 15 g/l of silver in the form of alkali silver cyanide and 10 to 200 g/l of alkali cyanide as well as 0.001 to 5 g/l of tellurium in the form of a water soluble tellurium compound.

    Abstract: Prodn. of purple pigments based on a sinterable glass flux or other oxide or silicate carrier (mixt.) (I), coated with colloidal Au, comprises contacting fine (I) powder with Au cpd(s). (II) to give a wt. ratio of (I) to Au in (II) of (10-2000):1. (I) and (II) are mixed and/or milled dry or (I) is contacted with an aq. soln. or suspension of (II) in the absence of reducing agent. The mixt. is heated at a temp. above the decomposition temp. of (II) and below the sintering temp. of (I) until (II) is converted to colloidal Au. Also claimed is the pigment.
