PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel rubber mixture, its production method and its use. SOLUTION: The rubber mixture comprises (A) at least one styrene-butadiene rubber, (B) at least one filler and (C) at least one polysulfide type organo(alkyl polyether silane) of the general formula I [(X)(X')(X")Si-R 1 ] 2 -Sm. In the rubber mixture, discharge of an alcohol upon a mixing step is reduced and has an improved elongation at break compared with conventional polysulfide type polyether silanes. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silane-modified oxide or silicate filler, a method of producing the same, a rubber compound including the filler and the use of the rubber compound. SOLUTION: In the silane-modified oxide or silicate filler, at least one of the oxide or silicate filler is modified with a mercaptosilane represented by general formula I: (R )3 Si-R -SH I (wherein substituents R s are identical or different and each an alkoxy or an alkyl where at least one of R is an alkoxy; and R is a divalent hydrocarbon group) and with an alkylsilane and/or a silicone oil represented by general formula II: (R )3 Si-R3 II (wherein R is a saturated or unsaturated branched or unbranched chain alkyl group).
