    Abstract: A process for preparation of coupled, block-free polymerisates based on conjugated dienes or copolymerisates based on conjugated dienes and vinyl aromatic compounds by anionic polymerization in an inert organic medium with an Li compound as initiator, using an alcoholate as microstructure regulator and randomizer is new. A process for preparation of coupled, block-free polymerisates based on conjugated dienes or copolymerisates based on conjugated diens and vinyl aromatic compounds by anionic polymerization in an inert organic medium with an Li compound as initiator, using an alcoholate as microstructure regulator and randomizer, where the alcoholate has the formula M1-O-R: or R-O-M2-O-R: M1 = K or Na, M2 = Ca or Mg, R = alkyl, aryl, aralkyl or a hydrocarbon containing oxygen or nitrogen, and the alcoholate is selected from about 13 compounds, e.g. ethylene glycol butyl ether, N,N-dimethylethanolamine, 2-(2-dimethylaminoethyl)-methylaminoethanol, tetrahydrofurfuryl alcohol, 2-hydroxymethyl-1,3-dioxolane, N-(2-hydroxyethyl)-morpholine. An Independent claim is included for a polymerisate obtained as above.

The mixture is prepared from: (a) Q mole of a functional group carrying alkoxysilane of formula (I): and (b) M mole of alkoxysilane selected from (alpha) trialkoxysilanes of formula (II): and or dialkoxysilanes of formula (III): and or alkoxy compounds of formula (IV): where A = a substituent directly or through an aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbon residue bonded to an amino-, alkylamino-, dialkylamino, amido-, epoxy-, acryloxy-, methacryloxy, cyano, isocyanato, ureido, thiocyanato, mercapto, sulfan- or halogen group, R = methyl, ethyl, or A (as defined above), y = 0 or 1, R asterisk ,R asterisk asterisk , R asterisk asterisk asterisk , and R asterisk asterisk asterisk asterisk = 1-8C alkyl or a corresponding alkyl substituted by alkyl(polyethylene glycol), R ,R ,and R = alkyl, alkenyl, alkinyl, cycloalkyl, cycloalkenyl or aromatic group with a maximum of 18 C, or these groups partially fluorinated and/or substituted with alkoxy and/or aryloxy groups; Me = selected from Si (n = 4) or a metal, e.g. Ti (n = 4), Al (n = 3), and Zn (n = 2), with the proviso that M and Q are in molar ratio 0 ≤ M/Q ≤ 20. In mixtures of compounds I to IV, these compounds contain at least 2,4-alkoxy groups OR asterisk ,OR asterisk asterisk ,OR asterisk asterisk asterisk , or OR asterisk asterisk asterisk asterisk per Si or metal atom, and if one of the named metal compounds is used as the compound of formula IV, the metal/Si atomic ratio in the mixture of compounds I to IV is 4:6 at maximum. The treated and dried metal surface is coated with an extruded melt of a polyamide molding material. An Independent claim is included for preparation of an extrusion coated metal object by the steps (a) and (b) above where formulas I-IV and R asterisk -R asterisk asterisk asterisk asterisk , n, and y are as defined above.
