Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a catalyst layer having good catalytic activity by a simple method advantageous for the cost by coating a substrate material with an ink containing a dispersion liquid comprising a carbon particle in an ionomer solution and at least one organic noble metal complex compound and by drying the ionomer or the substrate material at a temperature less than that to be damaged by a heat. SOLUTION: An ink contains a conductive carbon particle in an ionomer solution and a dispersion liquid of at least one organic noble metal complex compound. At this time, the noble metal of the complex compound exists at an oxidation number 0 and the complex compound can be thermally decomposed at a temperature less than that at which an ionomer or an indication material is damaged by heat under formation of noble metal fine particle. The organic noble metal complex compound is an aliphatic hydrocarbon or an ester which can be used as a pure liquid or a solution in a non-polar solvent corresponding to an aggregation state and a desired concentration.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject compound in high selectivity and in high yield under suppression of undesired side-reactions by adding a specific allyl compound to a specific silane in the presence of a specific catalyst under specific conditions. SOLUTION: The addition reaction of an allyl compound of the formula: H2C=CH-CH2X (X is Cl, Br, I or the like), for example, allyl chloride to a silane of the formula: R2R3R4SiH (R2-R4 are each H, a halogen, a 1-6C alkyl or the like) (preferably trichlorosilane) is carried out at 0-200 deg.C and at 200 millibar - 10 bar, preferably in the presence of a multielement catalyst supported on a carrier, for example, activated carbon, in which one of these elements is platinum, to give the objective three-functional compound (3- chloropropyltrichlorosilane). The other elements in the multielement catalyst are preferably Ti or the like and the molar ratios of the platinum to other elements on the carrier are preferably 0.05/1-20/1.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a propylsilane functionalized at the third position by reacting hydrogensilane with an allyl compound under the catalytic action of platinum. SOLUTION: A propylsilane functionalized at the third position is produced by the addition reaction of an allyl compound of the formula: H2C=CH-CH2X (X is Cl, Br, I, F, CN, SCN, SH, SR, OH, NRR1 or OR; R and R are each a 1-6C alkyl or a 3-7C aryl) with a silane of the formula: R2R3R4SiH [R2 to R4 are each H, a halogen, a 1-6C alkyl, a 1-6C haloalkyl, a 3-6C allyl, a 1-4C alkoxy, phenyl, an aryl or an aralkyl] at the reaction temperature of 0-200 deg.C and 800 mbar to 5 bar in the presence of a platinum catalyst having at least one kind of ligands containing sulfur.

Abstract: Preparation of 3-functionalized propylsilanes (I) comprises addition of allyl compounds (II) to silanes (III) at 0-200 degrees C and 800 mbar to 6 bar in the presence of a platinum catalyst that has ligand(s) containing sulfur. Preparation of 3-functionalized propylsilanes (I) comprises addition of allyl compounds of formula (II) to silanes of formula (III) at 0-200 degrees C and 800 mbar to 6 bar in the presence of a platinum (Pt) catalyst (IV) that has ligand(s) containing sulfur: X = chlorine (Cl), bromine (Br), iodine (I), fluorine (F), cyano (CN), thiocyanato (SCN), mercapto (SH), organylthio (SR), hydroxyl (OH), amino (NRR ) or organyloxy (OR); R, R = 1-6 carbon (C) alkyl or 3-7 C aryl; R , R , R = hydrogen (H), halogen, 1- C (halo)alkyl, 3-6 C allyl, 1-4 C alkoxy, phenyl, aryl or aralkyl. An Independent claim is also included for the use of (IV) in this addition reaction.
