    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for improving hydrolysis of cyanuric chloride to DCHT-Na under use of caustic soda solution so that the reaction is surely controllable even in industrial scale. SOLUTION: In this producing method, alkali metal hydroxide or alkali earth metal hydroxide in an amount of 1-2.5 equivalent based on 1 mol cyanuric chloride is charged in an aqueous solution or suspension into a vessel and cyanuric chloride is weighed and fed in the form of powder or aqueous suspension to the vessel while keeping pH value of the liquid in the range of 9.5-14 and cooling the liquid and when charging amount of the alkali metal hydroxide or alkaline earth metal hydroxide is stoichiometrically insufficient, residual amount of the above hydroxide including excessive amount up to 25% is weighed and fed during or after addition of cyanuric chloride in order to keep pH value of the liquid and the reaction is finished when the pH value does not substantially change any longer at selected temperature.
